This is an "evaluation" car for my entre' to a high end motor sports shop (Ferrari, Lambo, etc). The owner has had some awful experiences with previous detailers and heard of my reputation with BMW, so he gave me this car as my Pass/Fail test.

Started washing this morning with my favorite bucket (Meghan, you owe me a Diet Coke for this shot!).

Wheel brake dust was bad on all 4 wheels, so I used Meguiar's Hot Rims followed by sprayed apc to neutralize any acid, followed by soap and water.

After:

Next, the body was washed and looked good from certain angles

But, my dear friends...Toto Camera reveals ALL

We got some swirl-a-tation going on..... That line you see is a clear bra line covering the front end and leading edges of the rear fender.

So, I spent the day with my Metabo, a polish pad, some Meg's 83 for correction and some Menzerna IP for polishing. The shop owner had to leave before I got some pics...but stay tuned...it won't be disappointing to look at tomorrow. I finished the polishing and will power wash in the morning. Then, it's a coat of Z5 followed by Pinnacle Souveran paste. I tested a piece of the fender before I left the shop and it's gonna be a "stunner"....

Tomorrow All!

Looks like your full time detailing business is going well...and about to really take off!

Bad Ass! Love Astons. I can't wait to see how she looks after you are done with her. Not that you didn't know it, but that dealer will definitely approve of your work. That means lots of exotics in your future! Also, take lots of :Picture:!

Astons own, Viper tuner in here in FL is doing a custom twin-turbo setup on an AM Vantage right now, should be awesome.

Guy in my parking a garage at the office has a black DB9 that oozes sex :righton:

Jason is doing a TT Vantage? I have to stop by and check that out!

Nice. What is the clear like on those things? Soft, medium, or hard?

Well done Master Toto, that is a wicked vehicle to get as a pass/fail...wow I have faith in you that you blew the shop owner away with your results..but man I can't wait to see the turn around...hope you got lots of pictures becuase I'm going to be sitting here waiting for some wicked pictures :righton:

Well done Toto, I have no doubt you will pass this "test" if you can call it a test but this is a wicked opportunity for you...good job.

Fail or pass???

Just give the guy the adress to AGol, and i bet 10$ that you pass with just A`s

Looking forward to the Souv wax on that one..

The clear is fairly soft on this black paint. I'm using Meg's #83 and a polish pad (actually the Meguiar's polish pad from their So1o Kit...it's one of my favorite pads). And light pressure to work the paint, so there's not a lot of grunt work on this car.

Nice car, can't wait to see it when you're done.
I'm going to be the first to congratulate you on your new job. There is no doubt that you will pass this guys test.

Toto... that statement cracked me up! Everytime I see a black BMW or any black car, I think Toto would be proud or Toto could work miracles on that car. It's obvious the owner has only heard of your reputation and never seen your work. Thanks for sharing! Can't wait to hear what the man had to say. :D
A Pass/Fail test for..... Toto ROFLMAO
You gotta love working with the public, they are funny at times. Glad to here the business is going well. Looking forward to some more :Picture:

Toto, hope you get the detail position at that shop. Good for you, and lets see some :Picture: of the afters

What a beautiful machine Toto, absolutely loving it!

I think Im going to have to pick up some #83 and give it a shot. It sounds like its a moderate swirl remover. Does it have any fillers? How does it compare to Menzerna SIP or 106FF (Im not sure which one it should be compared to in correction abilities).
