Wow! Need my BEST Competition Ready Team EVER! - Glendale, California - Thursday, February 23rd

Picture how you dry your backside after a shower. OR, how they shined shoes back in the day. Using the MF towel and sort of doing that with the individual spokes. The ones in the rear, not sure how to get to those, though.

That would work but I was picturing wearing microfiber gloves like you see Claude wearing and then using your thumb and fingers, using the microfiber AS THE APPLICATOR and rubbing each spoke down.

Just an initial idea...

I prefer aluminum slotted mags myself...

:)

Justjesus thats essentially what we did on the Benetly wheels when we unmounted them, 3 of us on one rims. worked great and doing that and adding what mike suggested with the gloves sounds like it would be the best method to attack it. now that im thinking back on it that would have been a great way to get each spoke cleaned, it would take a while but i think it would be very effective. sounds like we should get the gang back together. we should have given our team a name so mike could just throw up the spot light and we could all ASSEMBLE!!!!!

I see what you're saying. Take Gloves-A-Plenty!

hehe.. I had slotted mags on my 1967 Chevy II, as well as my 1968 Datsun 510.

Yup yup. That's pretty much how I did that one rear wheel too. Individual spokes, one at a time, all the way around. But the thought of POLISHING each spoke, and I didn't think about the MF gloves. Sounds like a plan.

Assemble? haha... I take it you just saw the Lego Batman movie :)

i actually dislike batman.. ALOT, but just like yelling ASSEMBLE!!! when i can, just sounds cool. time to go to the store... kids ASSEMBLE!!!!

Well, I've done a total of.... (doing math).... one wire wheel. Simple cleaning of it. ;)

This is going to be great. Thanks Mike. Really looking forward to meeting the team.

Good news to hear. I may bring my own flex and creeper stool. (unless the stool isnt allowed on camera).

I think it's going to depend on who's sponsoring that episode, if it's griots, then no flex, if it is flex we may de demonstrating a different model. So I'd still being it but we might not be able to use it.

I'm hoping Mike brings some of "the belts" for us to use and try out.

Have fun guys. These are two cool cars to work on. Be sure to take plenty of photos and post them up.

Mike, Thank you for the invite this morning! As we already discussed, I'll be unable to make this one.

I had so much fun helping out with the Petersen Museum show. I hate having to miss being part of this one.

Looks like this show is going to be another great one. Have fun guys!!

Ahh man. That's too bad, Joe. Would have been good to finally meet you. I guess you have a ton of "units" at one of the dealerships? (hehe, joking, as you mentioned in one of those videos! That one had me laughing good)

Joe is an awesome dude!!! I took him a corvette of mine to detail probably 8-10 years ago. This is right before opti coat came out. Being Joe, he already had it and applied it to my hood. Had no idea how big of a deal coatings would eventually become.
