Anyone else revved up for a new NASCAR season?

Finally!! In this horrible lull between the NFL season ending, and MLB still about 6 weeks away, here comes race week at Daytona to save me from pulling my hair out.

Sorry, college/pro basketball fans. (Actually, I'm not!)

I drove by the Speedway on the way to a sales meeting last Friday.

I love motorsports.

What I'm REALLY waiting for is World Superbike & MotoGP to kick off.

I'll add a "hell no". I do enjoy watching the last two or three laps:) the first 297 are a little repetitive.

Enjoyed F1 when I was younger. I enjoy watching modified or stock street cars drag race on YouTube.

<<< short attention span. Could spend 12 hrs detailing, but can't focus on much of anything lately that doesn't interest me.

I use to love it, now it's lost its luster through the years so at this point it's sucks.

I used to be a big NASCAR fan...not so much any more. It's too corporate, too Hollywood, too complicated. I do, however, like watching the NASCAR trucks race. We have a dirt track about an hour from me, and I go there several times a year. No big names, no big money, just racing.

I was reading an article about how the internet is training our brains into short attention spans, but I lost interest before I finished it...

I do love to watch some racing, mostly road courses (Indy, NASCAR, IMSA...). NASCAR has gotten a little strange the last few years. Like the stupid driver introductions production, and the points system, pre-determined yellow flags, to now splitting races into sections. I'll still watch if nothing better is on. But still...

No, not looking forward to another year of my neighbors going on and on about how much NASCAR tech is built into his 4 cylinder Camry. I'll watch some of the night races but it's not high on my must watch list

Excited for NAPCAR - not really :) They did tweak the format this year, breaking up the events into heat races and then a final run to the checkers, in the hopes of adding excitement and making every lap count. We shall see. I'll watch the first few races but once spring arrives, I'm in the garage polishing paint.

I could be persuaded to watch a race or two.

I watch for the grammar lessons:

Uh, looks like blowed my motor uhhhpp.
lol.

Agree there. But it sure beats watching nothing. And it's still to cold here to do much detailing.

Sooo...... NASCAR it is.

Used to love it when I was a kid. The rule changes are a last ditch effort to keep it relevant. Look at the stands, they're empty. I might watch the short track races and the road courses, but it's had to listen to Waltrip and the others they have commentating.
