Hi Guys, I recently did a mini Gel Restore to a 1971 Schiada. The boat had been sitting outside for 7 years.

The owner asked if I would do my best. He did not have high expectations. In the end it actually came out fairly decent. Pictures do not do the before and after any justice.

For this Job, I started with a light acid wash, cut the boat using Capt Cut, Color Restore and applied a Sealant.

All of the products were from Marine 31.

For Pads LC CCS and a Flex DA.

Thanks for Looking,

Jon

Looks awesome.

Looks like a very cool boat... I'm guessing a Jet Boat?

I use to run around with a guy named Dick Hagen in Oregon and he had a Schiada Jet Boat. It was orange like mine except where my boat has a black stripe his boat had a white stripe.

This was my Sanger Drag Boat

I loved buffing it out because it was for the most part super easy...

:)

It was actually a v-drive. Most Schiada's here in AZ are all V-Drives.

Great running pic of your!!! We get a lot of flatty's running the river out here.

Very cool. My friend Dick's was a V-drive too. My other buddy Eric had a Sanger V-drive and my other buddy Jim had a Cole Pickle Fork that was a V-drive.

The 4 of us would go to Foster Lake and just terrorize it on the weekends. I was the only guy that actually ran Super Traps, the other guys were running dry stacks with nothing to make them quite. :)

That's me racing it in the quarter mile on Dexter Reservoir just outside of Eugene, Oregon.

We get a lot of flatty's running the river out here.

Here you can see the cavitation plate on the back of my Sanger

Dangerous fun. I owned mine for 20 years and never missed a summer on the lake.

:)

Great pics, We need to get you out here to Lake Havasu City one of these days for some west coast boating!
Here is a pic of a friends Miller flatt bottom and our boat.
