New car purchase under $22k...

We just bought a Mini Cooper S for the wife. They can be had for around that 22,000 if they are not loaded up with options. For us it was between the Mini S & Civic Si. We chose the Mini.

Hyundai Sonota V/6 You have confort, performance, style, room , and that warranty.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

:whs: The warranty is crap because my neighbor had her sonata in the shop for three weeks waiting for a part and hyundai didn't even give her a loaner.

The warranty is probably the main reason why people are lured into buying this low quality vehicle...

I bought a new Hyundai Excel in 1988. It was one of the better cars that I owned. My current car is a Kia Sephia , which is also a great car.Ive owned Fords , Chevys, Dodges, and 1 Mercury. The Dodge was better then the Chevys, and out of 3 fords only 1 was very good. One Ford was real bad. Ive had good luck with Hyundais and Kias.

Hmm, so we have two funny guys on here......:D

I will jump off a cliff before driving that go-cart :righton:

:D:D:D
I was just teasing you, Surfer...When people talk about style, and only style, and figure performance isn't necessary for them and recommend them one of those go carts...to me (maybe it's just me) it is only style and offers absolutely no performance. Looks weird too...Toyota tried to replicate Mercedes G-wagon, but with it's fuel economy it would never offer same safety/performance as G-wagon...

By the way, what would you get for under $22k?

Under 22k........pair of Nike's

Hard to say, me, I'd pry end up with a decent Chevelle or something along those lines lol. If I had to really look in that range and in your case looking for comfort and mileage, I'd get a TDI Jetta, excellent mileage and you can mod that little engine to be quite torquey as hell for a car that size, or TDI Passat if you want some more room.

Get the Jetta with 2.0 TDI, 140 bhp stock, chip it and you have 170-180 bhp!
