Hello! Well! First of all, I blame PaulMys for this, entirely. It's all his fault. Blame him for me being here.

okay, no, that's not entirely fair, but that was a big motivator! I've been ordering from Autogeek, and then decided it would be best to dive into the forum as well.

My name is Kelsey, I am 22 years old, if you must know. I started out as a detailing enthusiast, and then bang. I was hooked.

I'd always been taught to wash and wax your vehicle, you have to take care of it for it to last. I've always had that base. But I knew there was more!
It started with my bright Silver 2002 Dodge Ram 1500. I learned of a world of Clay Bars, Headlight restorations, sealants and polishes. I worked as a
detailer at a Mechanic's shop for about a year, but he was not providing enough work, and he was also taking huge cuts out of my pay as well. I went
back to working as a hobby detailer and honed my skills further while I was looking for a job.

I'm now working at a dealership franchise that has Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Buick, GMC and Chevrolet. I started as a detailer there
(I know, I know, ew, dealership detailers.)

Hear me out. There are some out there that do good work!

We exist.

We are not the horror story variety of "My dealership swirled the Sh!t out of my car!" :buffing:

We would sooner break our fingers than damage the many cars that we work with.

Anyway, I am now basically in charge of the used car section, meaning I make sure they've been put through service and are cleaned properly.

I will be the first to admit that I have much to learn, however, I am still confident with the knowledge base I have currently. I now have a small
fleet of cars and a motorcycle that I still enjoy working on (2006 Chrysler 300, 2006 Dodge Ram 1500, the 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 and a 2002
Honda Shadow) among others.

I love learning about new products and hearing about other people's experiences and knowledge.

I truly hope for the chance to learn and share knowledge here, thanks for reading. :)

Take care!
Kelsey

•At first:
-I was going to use this form of social
media to try and apologize for the
"arduous-sights" you had to endure,
while on your journey to AGO land.
{Naaaaw...Paul's OK. :)}

•However (I thought to myself):
-Actually, a post-it note on a three
ring binder, would be a really sweet
way to apologize to someone.

-Where is the Dealership located? TIA.

Aha, thanks! Paul's pretty great. Known him for... geez! around 4 years from another forum and Email land! Dealership is in Winamac Indiana, home of Tippecanoe State Park and Braun Auto Group.

Welcome to AGO Kelsey! And it's still PaulMys fault!! LOL

I think it's always his fault :xyxthumbs:

Welcome! Glad you're here. You'll learn a ton the more you read and the more you read the more you'll become addicted.

Oh Good Lord. This kid follows me everywhere!!!!!

In all seriousness, I think I met Kelsey when she was 17-18? On a Ram truck forum. There is something special about this young lady. She has endured a few hardships, maintained her cool, and has been an absolute maniac about detailing her possessions. (Can I tell these guys about you polishing/waxing your washing machine? No? Ok, it's our secret.....) ;)

Anyway, Kelsey is the real deal. A real person, and just a great kid. errr...... young lady.

Glad you're on here Kiddo. :)

Welcome to AGO.. Be sure to visit the autogeek university: Auto Detailing Facts, auto detailing Tips, How to detailing Guides, how to polish, how to wax, DIY detailing, do it yourself guides
Where you can find all kinds of How To's by Mike Phillips. Also, on the Forum, Mike has Video's and How To guides... If there is ever anything you ever wanted to know, Google your question and add Mike Phillips to it. You will most likely find what your looking for..

I'll be sure to check out those sections, and keep that stuff in mind, thanks!

Paul! Hey, what can I say, I follow awesome people sometimes ;)

Haha, oh my goodness, yes I was probably right around in there, closer to 18 I think. well at least someone is convinced I kept my cool
I will accept the charges of detail maniac. I have detailed the washer and drier, the stove, my mom's granite countertops, and a glass-topped table that we have on our deck.
Among other household items. What can I say, I like shiny things. There's a coat of Klasse on my laptop's casing, and Klasse topped with Collinite on my laptop screen and cell
phone screen. Whoops.

That means a lot Paul, thanks sir :)

I'm eager to get into business here and start learning! :)
