Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone uses a spray of QD when buffing offa paste wax, not really to make it easier to take off, but to amp up shine and gloss? Does anyone find that this helps? Maybe combine this with a DA and a microfiber bonnet to buff?

And to go along with this, I assume you would need to use a QD with no solvents or cleaning ability, any suggestions?

Now that im thinking about it, ive acquired quite a few QD type products in the short time ive been into detailing. What is it about having all the QDs out there?:D

So far Ive got

PB S&G
PB S&W
Meg's UQD
DG AW
DG Fast clean and sine (forget number lol)
FK425
Carbrite Speed Glaze (thanks tom!)

soon to get DP Final gloss too, this is the stuff im banking on working well with what I am talking about.
Id also like to try crystal mist one of these days. Im becoming a QD addict i think, somewhat like tom's soap addiction, but not to his mental state just yet

I use a QD after waxing just to pick up any residual. Some have spirtzed their buffing towel to help remove some of the tough ones. I've used a little H2O spritz to help remove Klasse SG.

when removing wax i just wipe or with a microfiber. sometimes ill go over the paint with my speedglaze.q/d. if i feel like adding a little more slickness.

what about removing an AIO with a few sprays of a spray wax or a spray sealant on each panel as you wipe it off to add some shine and protection

You probably don't want to use any type of QD or water right after you apply a wax because the wax is still very fresh on the surface and hasn't had enough time to 'harden' or bond to the paint. So using a QD may remove more wax than you want, hurting your durability. After a few hours or the next day, you should be fine.

That is what some detailers do. Some use Poli-seal and remove with OCW. The best of both worlds without going around a vehicle twice.

I agree with Budman. As much as I want to do it, I avoid QDs and just use AW after a n hour or so of the wax curing...
