Wax, Sealant or Coating?

Sealants and spray waxes for me.

lately I've been extremely happy with the combo of UFF aerosol sealant topped with a spray wax like D156 (UQW) or Optimum spray wax.

For the asking price, I think you'd have a hard time finding a better, more cost efficient system than UFF topped every week or two with D156.

You can get a bottle of UFF for under $10 and easily get 6-8 applications from it (more for a smaller car) and a gallon of D156 will cost you about $22 on sale.

I have a big vehicle, so the ease/speed of application of these products is just as important to me, which is the reason why I haven't gone back to 845 since finding these newer products.

They are much easier to apply and lost longer. win/win.

i just bought 845 over the holiday sale too. Seems like this is one product everyone can agree on so thought i give it a try.

My anger management counselor asked me to do things I like to do, and do it often. Coatings last too long, so wax is my preferred LSP.

Have tried 6 or 7 coatings in the last few months; love the low maintenance and self cleaning abilities, plus a little bit of added protection from my lazy occasional washings.

Hopefully on different cars! All kidding aside, which of these coatings did you like the best? Which is easiest?

All applied to different fleet vehicles after decon/compounding/polishing/prep.

The easiest to apply is a non-AG offering so cannot be mentioned here. It is also among the best appearing to my eyes and has been among the best at staying clean with no maint.

The top at appearance, durability and self cleaning ability without consideration for ease of application is also a non-AG offering. Not hard to apply but takes a bit more attention.

It's all very subjective though...others might find my favorites to be different than theirs for completely valid reasons.
