Yeah, but the Challenger has way more vintage styling cues without looking randomly "futuristic" like the Camaro. GM has been doing some weird angular thing with all their designs lately, even to the latest Vette models, and I am not a fan. Part of the reason why I got a C5 instead of holding out for a new C6.

I will test drive one....I hope it's not going to be out of plastic (fiberglass)...

:whs: Mopar has out done both Ford and Cheby in the retro department. The Challenger look a lot closer to the original then the others do.

saw the camaro in person at the car show and i was just like "blah". Not my cup to tea. I'll stick with lexus and the new IS-F coming out.
...

At least I can see where you're coming from with those nice and friendly comments.

IS-F isn't exact good looking either, one of my biz partners cars is an IS350 and he agree's with me, IS-F looks like an IS had a threesome with a Civic and Altima. And just like the IS350, automatic only, the 09' CTS-V is gonna ass rape it and everything else in its class lol.

I too loved the wide rear butt on the C5 over the sharper lines of the C6. However after owning and driving both, you need to consider the upgrade its alot more than just some hp (that however helps too).

Where is the "No interest, because Camaros suck and Mustangs will always out sell them" option?

Mustangs are jellybeans my friend and the market is so flooded there resale is crap.Do not get me wrong I love mustangs and have owned a bunch but everytime you turn a corner you see one.The minute the new SS or Z28 come out I'm Buying one I have been waiting along time.

Not entirely true finding a good non beat to death mustang do fetch some decent coin. When I get some good condition seats I can ask (and get) 8 g's since it only has bolt-on performance parts and is very reliable. Not to bad for a 13 yr old jellybean ;)

I agree that there are alot of mustangs on the road. But you don't see the high performance/GT/Shelbys. You see tons of the v-6 etc. models. I hope Chevy keeps away from putting the v-6's in.

If they don't put V-6s in, the new Camaro will die also. You have to have that core group of people who drive it just for the look and fun factor (like women, younger kids) to have enough sales to keep it alive. Your average person just wants to drive that yellow Camaro they saw in Transformers, and they don't care how fast it goes from 0-60.

Half of the reason why I never considered a Camaro earlier in life was because I couldn't even get in a V-8 for under $30K, whereas you could pick up a Mustang GT for less than $25K (and the V-6 model for under $20K). That's way out of my price range as a younger male out of college or high school.

Sad fact of life, but that's the truth. Anyways, volume of the lower performance models will allow Chevy to play around with the SS and whatnot and do some cool things, since those will never sell enough on their own to justify limited runs, etc.

Stangs, Camaros, Challengers......we're gonna be flooded in a sea of mullet mobiles

I'll take my Challenger in Hugger Orange with black stripes please :righton:

I wouldn't mind a challenger in this color:

Agree, Challenger in matte black would rock, especially with some black/grey ghost stripes:righton:. I've seen some sh!tty matte black paint jobs, but when done correctly and prepped well they look badass.
