My 200+ customers are now all retarded. I'll let them all know it.
 
Justin now calm down you are getting personal, my mom that is not very nice. To be honest with you most of my work is done for a friend at his custom paint shop. i detail probably 2-3 cars on the weekend but have been doing this for over twenty years. Just as a note, I live in my own house, which is very large, have three cars, custom bike and invested wisely.
I did not have to steal to where I have gotten in life either. I will call you if I like but you need to be a little more of man than throwing out my mom comments.

I do this EVERYDAY 5-6 days a week. For the last 2 years.

Looks like the cream came to the top!

EXACTLY!

So I do exactly what they are paying me for. I go over a checklist with each customer and give to them. THEY ARE HAPPY and better yet they sign the check!

How well are you doing at detailing?
 
no you didnt i am still on top, I have been doing this for over 20 years, Had a detail shop in my early 20s and sold it for a very good profit. You still havent learned anything in 2 years that is sad. My offer still stands if you want me to call you only if you can talk man to man.

I will talk man to man and not on this computer. You started some crap and want to hide here. Call me then mister. You're border line slandering me.........you know that don't you? I'm a corporation. You're slandering against my work and my customers.
 
It saddens me that this is what you all use this forum for... :mad: there are a lot of members here to learn and share, lets keep that in mind. :grouphug:
 
hey mike thats a nice layout on your site....do you pay someone for your webdesign or is there templates out there?

as far a detailing goes
well i think its a lil different out here in SoCal. especially im surrounded by newport beach, la, orange coutny, beverly hills...etc etc etc
what does that exactly mean? well...everyone and their mama is a detailer and can pull off some really sweet deals. I met a few people that do cars for like some 35$ wax wax...granted that maybe their quality of products isnt that great..and no is their DETAIL work that much of a detail.

Down my area its all about networking and who you know and who knows you. I know for a fact there are people out there that charge more and charge less than me...and i also know there are people that are 1000x better than me. But at the end of the day, my line up of people TRUST me and know what they expect. There is some sort of a loyalty and by knowing the right people they wont question you.

For example, one of my buddies has a business that does the Clear Bra down in west la...every person he referrs to me has ferrari's, carerra gt's, ///M's etc and becuase his reputation and credibility is so high they dont question me or him. If i say "hey Bob, im going to charge you $500 for this job...chances are they probably wont ask what i do...theyll jus say...okay...call me when its done" ...but down by OC people have this 'plastics' theory where they always downplay you and think there is someones better for cheaper...so marketing to those people , who are arrogant is a no go for me.

I also done a few jobs in Vegas. and we all know that vegas is not the best place to detail cuz of the weather. but in vegas theres very very few detailers compared to SoCal so i can again charge whatever i want, becuase they trust me and i have a good resume with credibility

but at the end of the day...its jus a hobby with its trade offs...i prefer working as a Nurse much better =)
 
OK. Me and ASPHALT just got off the phone. We vented and in the end learned a lot about each other and detailing. In fact, he's having a BBQ and I'm bringing the beans! All is good!

Major thing though is being able to speak you mind on here. We did and in the end, learned.

This is why threads should not always be closed when off topic. I commend the AG admins for handling this the way they did!!!

We didn't close it because we were hoping you boys could vent and work it out. But in the future I would like everyone to please remember the purpose of this forum and please keep the name calling for the playground. We pride our forum on not being like all the others, so please try to work with us and keep it about car care.... that is why we are all here, right?
Everyone here knows we will go the distance to help everyone out, but please do us the favor and help us out by keeping the bashing off the forum.
Thats all I'm saying!:D
