Issues with CarPro Ech2o

I don't think a bad experience with one product should turn you off a whole brand. I'm a huge fan of Larry Kosilla but I don't agree with everything he says.

Maybe it's user error

Ech2o is the best RW I've ever used, also makes a superior WW as well. With the little bit left behind it doesn't interfere with the looks of my coated car and for that reason alone is why I'll always have/use it

I didn't think it cleaned well enough. It had amazing shine, I wish it was easier to use in the hot sun

Great over coatings for me. Don't use it to remove a lot of dirt. Prefer it as QD/waterless with some Reload. Can be a little streaky, but the gloss over a coating is crazy.

Yeah... I learned the hard way it's not sun friendly. I use it in the garage.

I agree with that, my gripe was more the response that I bought off Amazon instead of one of their preferred sales channels and it was a too bad so sad have a nice day response.

I bought a gallon of meguiars quick interior detailer. The batch was funny, smelled like vinegar. One email to meguiars and I had two replacement bottles at my doorstep. Didn't ask where I bought it nor did they care. Either you stand behind your product unconditionally or you don't. That's why I choose to take my business elsewhere and let others know of my experience.

Well thanks for the info but it gets lost in the childish rants. I have never had a problem returning anything to amazon so why not go though them? For me I just started using carpro so I am far from a "fanboy" but I have to say I have been really impressed with every product so far but I have not had to deal with customer service so I can't comment on that. Perl has been a real standout for me and has actually taken place of 303 that I have used for years even trying several other products.

I want to like Ech2o,but I'm kinda meh on it. I thought I would be blown away, but other than slickness not so much.

I have used it twice as a rinseless. The gloss or shine was not really that much better than ONR,Uber,DG rinselessUWW,etc...

I thought it would enhance beading also, but not so much. Maybe it isn't supposed to? Just not impressed for the money for sure. Harder to dry without streaks also

Hello folks - i am wondering, how much protection will ech2o leave behind on an UNcoated car when used as rinseless?

Ech2o is not a protection product. It is a waterless wash with gloss-enhancer. So think of it as a wash or QD product.

Pulled from CarPro's site.

Does Ech2o have protection in it?

Ech2o does have some Sio2 (quartz) protection in it BUT its main focus is on safely cleaning and glossing a variety of surfaces.

Pro Tip: Mix a couple ounces (1oz - 4oz) of CarPro Reload with your next RTU bottle of Ech2O for added protection!

what type of water is used to dilute, tap water distilled ???

I use tap when using as a rinseless.... distilled as a waterless.

Note: We have pretty decent Tap here in WA. If you have hard water and are prone to spotting you should used distilled or de ionized water.

I noticed the same thing with Ech2O. It takes a few wipes to totally remove the product from the surface. Wolfgang seems to wipe away more easily and cleanly.

Ech2O is a really thick/substantial concentrate. SiO2 also may not be the easiest product to use in a WW concentrate. WG SiO2 WW also has slight hazing issues, and directions/tutorials also suggest a bit more dry wipes than the standard Ultima/WG/BF/Pinnacle/N-914, etc.
