Hello. So I made the jump to purchase the Mytee Lite III today here from Autogeek.

I am trying to get information about the best way to use this thing. My plan was to use something like Folex, scrub, and use the extractor with hot water to suck it all up with.

Are there any other products that you find work well? Do you use any chemicals in the extractor or just water? Would you spray scrub and extract only?

Thanks for the help!!

That's my process, Unicorn Tears (Folex) hasn't failed me yet. I'm not in favor of using anything in the water tank because I don't want anything being deposited into the carpets.

It will depend on what chemicals you are using to pretreat. If using folex, then water should be find; same with self neutralizing presprays. If you are using an alkaline prespray, like an all purpose cleaner or traffic lane cleaner, then you can use a fiber rinse in the extractor to neutralize the alkalinity. Those acid-base reactions often create foam which isn't good for your suction pump, so you may want a defoamer too. Alternatively, you can extract the prespray with plain water and then spray the carpet with a fiber rinse, but now you've re-wet the carpet.

do you know of a good fiber rinse and de-foamer? I do plan to use folex a lot which sits at about 8.3 PH.. but I will probably also use APC which is at about 12 PH to 13 PH alkaline from Meguairs. Maybe super degreaser if its really bad and thats about 12.5 PH to 13.5 PH. So If you have any suggestions that would be great! I am assuming that the fiber rinse would need to be somewhat on the acidic side since all of these listed are on the alkaline side.

Yup, fiber rinses are acidic, often citric acid. Autogeek sells meguiars tannin stain remover, which could be used as a fiber rinse. Autogeek does not have a defoamer as far as I know; that being the case, look for your local carpet cleaning supply store which should carry a defoamer.
