Like the title states, how many hours do you guys work a day detailing professionally? I work about 22 hours a day working morning and night. Tiring yes, but get the high from detailing cars lol..

Do you mean 12? Don't think it's physically possible to consistently work 22 hours a day.

No, but he said professionally per day, which while could be part time still makes me think more than 1 day.

While not physically impossible, is still pretty hard without any rest, breaks, eating much etc.

This is of course, totally different if he is Chuck Norris, in which case 22 hrs/day is just a light warm up.

22 hours a day most days. My hours can be 16 to 22 hours. Working on one of the dirtiest interior details right now and it will take around 40 hours to do. Have not been sleeping for the past 3 weeks and probably got around 30 hours of sleep most. It feels good though!

Working on another interior right now and probably need to be up for another 3 days. Already took all the seats out and extracted one seat, using about 30 gallons of water...
The owner decided to detail his own car by pressure washing his whole interior carpets and seats. All the oil and liquid rust splatter all over the carpet, seats, and the headliners.
This will probably be another miracle detail I might post but it is considered a normal detail for me lol. All in all, probably used 100 gallons of water, and will need another 150 to 200 gallons to extract the whole car and will probably take me another 30 hours to detail the interior. Wish me good luck! Picture of one seat extracted.

You must be in your early 20's.

Just reading "22 hours a day" makes me want to go to sleep in a hospital. ;)

And the hospital is where is a person will eventually end up no matter their age. The body needs rest as we all know and when it is denied that the immune system breaks down and well, the rest is well documented. I'll just leave it at that.

OP,

Do you worry about suffering burnout?

Just curious, so how much are you going to charge for that 40 hours of work? $50 and hour? $2000.00 for the job? $30? $1200.00?

I don't see people paying 2 grand for a Nissan Versa interior detail but I could be wrong.

But you gotta charge somewhere in that range

Yeah, something about this doesn't add up. I did something like this once. But it wasn't physical work and I probably still got 70 hours sleep in that 3 week period. My drug was caffeine. OP what are you using?

~7am to 10.30pm some days. Most days, 8am to 7.30pm. But I'm not in detailing business...

I hear you brother.

I worked on a commercial fishing boat circa 1982, Gulf of Mexico, grouper fishing. Typical trip was 2 to 2 and half weeks out at sea. We worked our butts off from dusk till well past dawn, easily 16-18 hours of hard labor per day. Barely got 5 hours of sleep a night. By the end of that 2 and half weeks we were zombies, we were delirious. I was a party animal back then and I will never forget coming in from my first trip and hitting the bar with a couple buds, two glasses of beer and I was done, all because my body and stamina was toast. And I was 19 and in full of piss and vinegar back then LOL.

4-6 hours daily here in the Arizona summer, 8+ hours in the winter months.

22 hours per day? Consistently?
