Is this oxidation and if so can anything be done for it?

Hi,

I am relatively new to this forum and the world of detailing. I have an 07 SWP Sti that I noticed has a lot of cloudiness on the hood scoop as well as the top of the driver door in a small area. Assuming it is oxidation I was wondering if there is anything I can do to remove it or at least keep it from getting worse. If it is something else I would like some suggestions on what can be done to take care of it. The spot on the door looks more like a smudge than oxidation, but no mild products I have tried have worked to remove it.
I have had the car for three years and during my ownership it has been detailed twice a year. I cannot speak for prior ownership before me.

Sorry about the photos. Was hard to capture the issue on a white car.

Need better pic.paint looks shallow.Get close up and maybe a piece of black electrical tape next to the problematic area so we can see contrast.

I am using the least aggressive lake country pads and mostly wolfgang products. I do occasionally use swirl x as well.

Didn't think of that, but will take a pic for contrast. Unfortunately it is hard to get a good pic of the paint because of the color.

Has the least aggressive pad and WG worked thus far?

It has not. I have also used Meguiars Compound. It looks like a dull area, hard tell if it is oxidation or not.

Hummm...from what you are describing plus the light color with edges---looks like the clear coat is just about gone.
