Mckees New Paint Coating

In addition to protecting the paint does anyone know if this can be used to protect plastics and trim also. My other car has Opti-gloss and I know that it could be to be used on plastic and trim.

But is it just safe in case it touches it or is it also effective to be used as a trim sealant?

-Is there a window when another coat can be added?

-Is physical abrasion and/or removal required for another coat past the initial working window?
