I have a set of chrome 20" wheels (Boss wheels) on my f150 and they are in need of a good cleaning what should i use to get them clean?

Theses wheels are not a top quailty wheels and i didnt know this when i purchased them, the chrome is cheep and the wheels are only 2 years old and they look like shi_ i have tried everything but nothing seems to work to get them back in good condition. I have cleaned and waxed these wheels 10 time over the last 2 years but the quailty of the chrome just s__ks if you know what i mean.

I need a product that will clean and put the shine back in my cheep wheels.

Feed back please

DP gel wheel cleaner is pretty inexpensive, yet strong and works very well.

Sounds like they need polishing... not just cleaning with a wheel cleaner. Can you tell us if they are clear-coated chrome, or bare chrome?

My wheels have no clearcoat so they do need polishing first then a good sealer put on them i use rejex on my weld evo wheels on my corvette and they look great all the time and nothing dticks to them but they have never been as dirty as the wheel on my truck.

Try English Metal Polishes. I havent tried them myself, but killr is in love with them. So maybe they work well.

The Surf City line is really nice, I have their chrome polish and metal dressing and they both work well on my chrome wheels. Rolite also worked pretty well at shining them up. I would recommend those products to anyone.

Do they sell it here at autogeek?

we dont unfortunately, to my dismay !!

I would use the P21S Wheel Cleaner as needed, polish with a "chrome" specific polish like Mothers (or English), and seal with DP Wheel Protectant.

Yep, I have the English Custom Metal polishes, and love them... especially the Showman's Ultra fine.

My second choice would be the polishes made by Heavy Metal Polish... also great stuff! The medium and ultra fine would probably do the trick, unless the wheels are really bad. Then, you might have to go to the heavy formula.

Thanks everyone for all the info i have been away from my computer for a few days so i hadnt checked my post here.

Thanks Randy
