I purchased a 17oz. bottle of power clean. I primarily use it to clean tires and wheel wells. I use it straight non diluted. Should I dilute it? It concerns me that it may cause damage to my nice wheels if it lands on them. or sits on the wheel lips when I use it to clean my tires. I have seen videos where people use it to pre treat heavily dirty painted areas or on bumper with bugs. I wanted to get Adams tire cleaner but opted for pic since I could use it on wheel wells too.

The only way it would damage your wheels is if you allowed it to dry from baking in the hot sun.

That said, I person diluted it around 3:1 or 4:1 for tires. I find it is just as effective at 3:1 as it is undiluted.

Also, OPC is not only safe for tires and wheel wells but it's also completely safe as a wheel cleaner at well. Good choice going with OPC over Adams :xyxthumbs:

It's also safe for interior (leather) cleaning. Very versatile product though a little pricey compared to other apc's.

I've used OPC on my tires, wheels, wheel well liners, and plastic trim with very good results. I've since switched to Megs APC but this was a cost issue. I've diluted at 4 to 1 and 10 to 1 finding that 4 to 1 takes care of everything on the exterior and 10 to 1 works well inside.

I have tried OPC on tires and I had better success with Mother's Tire Cleaner - which was my go to product (and still could be based on cost). Currently I am working through Tuff Shine's Wheel Cleaner Concentrate; which is awesome for dirty/old tires. For new tires I think it is more economical with Mothers; jury is still out but there is my $0.02.
