I have a 2007 Lexus ES350. Have about 29,000 miles on it and need new tires...Dont need a high performance tire but want one that will handle nicely but most important handle the wet South Florida rainy season and not wear out after 25 - 30k miles....Any recommendations?

Damn, new tires after 29,000 miles? What tires do you have now?

I am a big Michelin fan. You pay for it, but damn, they're GOOD!

If you go to tirerack.com, put your vehicle info in it will give you different brands of tires in that size with tire ratings. Plus they will be cheaper than a tire store. Man, that is alot better life than my Infiniti customers, G35 owners are wearing them out at 20k.

Im leaning towards Pirelli P4 Four Seasons.....Went to Tire Rack and from what I read they seem to be really good tires, plus they are only $92 a tire

Toyo would be my first choice on a Lexus, and maybe a Yokohama second.

I normally like Michelin best, but I recently put these Goodyears on my Mazda 6 and like them alot so far (huge improvement over the stock garbage Michelin Pilots):

Goodyear Tires

Which Toyo Proxes did you have the t1-s or t1-r’s? I’d recommend either the Toyo Proxes t1-r’s or Pirelli P4.

:iagree: The response edge is a good responsive tire, but not as harsh or fast wearing as an ultra high performance tire.

Toyo Proxies are actually supposed to be good tires, especially the proxies 4. The higher performance a tire you get (in general), the lower treadlife you'll get. I think its sort of ok, though, because I consider it somewhat of a safety issue - high performance tires will ensure your tires are not the weak link in an emergency maneuver.
