Changed out the backup lights to LED. What a pain getting them in to the socket, had to file it down a bit. Amazon description said 2000 lumen, its probably BS but still pretty bright.

Definitely a unique design on those can see why they were a pain. I just use the standard rectangle LEDs and they worked fine for me

Just a little PSA - if you car has a bulb check feature, stand behind your car for a while with the car on and make sure it doesn’t light up your reverse lights during the check since they’re LED’s. Especially if they’re 2k lumens, that’s a pretty intense flash to the folks behind you.

I picked up some LED reverse lights for my car; even though they’re the CAN bus light (or whatever they called them) so it doesn’t actually trip a bulb warning, they end up strobing when the car runs the bulb check. For mine it was every minute or 2 they’d briefly “wig-wag”. I think it’s because they take so little voltage to light, when the car runs that trace test signal through it’s enough to light them up.

I debated looking into wiring capacitors in to absorb the little voltage spike, but ultimately decided I just didn’t have-to-have them that badly. I could also just code out the bulb check function, but I’m lazy and like knowing if a bulb has gone out.

I visited a Knights Templar castle in Toruń Poland yesterday and the Palace of Warsaw today

Got a cat back dual exhaust setup added to my Tundra today. Sounds great. Mild not crazy loud but can definitely tell it has an exhaust added.

I found a clean un molested version of my car. 1st time I’ve ever seen another 1 the same yr. and exactly the same color paint.

Go buy it and swap parts where needed!

Lol. That’s not gonna happen.
For 1. I’m no mechanic. I’ve got no tools and no clue how to remove and replace anything under the hood + from my understanding these cars are among the hardest cars out there to work on.
2. It’s too expensive for what it is unless you’re in love with the car.
3. I’m not in love with the car. I hate to say it, but the Cadillac SLS was never really what I sought after, that car sort of fell into my lap at a price I couldn’t refuse. I wanted an Eldorado, or even a STS + IMO the color of the car leaves alot to be desired because it’s hard to make it pop.

The 3 of us took the wife's Mazda 6 to the dealership for an oil change, which is free as well as a coolant flush. The coolant flush is done every 50K so with it just hitting 200K it was time. Something about leaving the dealership with fresh oil and coolant. I need to clean her K&N pretty soon too

No, we're in an oil change club, pay for 4, get the 5th free. This is a great dealership too, very inviting (Wilkins Mazda, Elmhurst ILL)

Do you ever change the transmission fluid?

...I’ve never changed my transmission fluid either. Been thinking about it, but I hear so many conflicting opinions on whether it does more harm than good.

Is anyone in a program where the dealer provides synthetic oil like Mobil One? I change my own oil because AFAIK my dealer doesn’t provide it.

What kind of vehicle do you use synthetic oil?
