What did you do today non-detailing related?

I replaced the Side Marker lights with LED's today. Hoping others on the road will see my car a bit better.

Watched Narcos on my new home theater setup. I got an Epson 2150 projector for my bday a few weeks back and a 92” Silverticket WAB screen for Xmas. I built and set everything up and have been spending time tweaking everything to my liking. Last year I had my basement redone and took the opportunity to get my sound system wired up before walls and ceiling went in. After they completed basement I installed my sound system. Went w a 5.1 Bowers & Wilkins setup w a Marantz receiver. I know Dolby atmos is the new craze but I figured I could always grow the system. It sounds amazing as is. Anyway, my setup is nearly complete now. Just need new couches to make the room more comfortable. I have a 60” Samsung on the wall behind the screen and I don’think we’ll be using it much anymore.

Bought nice little hand tool kit for adjusting watch bands to help bring down the size of my new favorite one for my daily wearer. Got it brought down to size and popped it on my 46mm Galaxy Watch. I use the Milanese and stock sport bands for casual dress and shorts, etc.

tried to replace the license plate bulbs with LEDs.

followed manual instructions "Remove the unit by pressing the tab on the unit with your finger and pulling the unit downward".

Broke the tab somehow. :(

Couldn't figure out still how to get to the bulb. Didn't want to do anymore damage so I gave up on it. Put double sided 3M tape at the broken tab and able to squeezed it back in place and it seemed to hold firmly, not coming loose.

Ahh man that sucks... I replaced my license plate bulbs not too long ago, but before I attempted it I went to the junkyard and practiced doing it on a couple of cars while I was there looking for a couple of nic nacks. I broke the heck out of 1 at the junkyard before I figured it out. Lol.

I found the perfect open strip of road and did 3 consecutive WOT runs in my Cadillac DTS for the 1st time. Man that car sure can move. 0-60 in just over 6 seconds. Not bad for a 4,000 lb. car.

Drove to a drilling rig to run the emergency system. Hangin our in the cellar knew deep in water and mud getting filthy and making this work truck look like a mud pit inside and out. Sad day, was hoping I wouldn’t have to do this but oh well.

I just ordered up some new tires for my son's new Jeep. I was originally going to go with some top-shelf Michelin's but after thinking about it, how much he may be driving it and how long he may want to keep it and reading up on reviews and weighing the options, I chose to go with a set of: Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015P and bumped up one size to 235 /70 R16 in Raised Outlined White Letters. I think the aggressive pattern and lettering will look awesome and is a good look for a stock vehicle from this era. Some will hate but that's okay. They rate really well overall from all the reviews I've read and most importantly are a great on-off road tire that is not noisy and handles rain and snow extremely well.

Rather than repainting, I ordered new wiper arms for the truck. They were $40 each from Amazon. I also ordered a cheap Chinese wiper arm puller but the jaw wasn't wide enough. I had to wiggle the old wiper arms off and the project went relatively smoothly.

Ordered summer tires.
I was stuck on the fence between Firestone Indy 500s or Continental DWS06s.

But along came some research and found Nitto Invos for a killer price.
