What did you do today non-detailing related?

Ditto, I mowed the front, now I'm eating lunch, a nice ham, cheese, tomato sandwich, with a neenish tart a treat. The back lawn can wait till later.

Does anyone remember Jack Lalanne?
I used to watch his juice infomercials when I was younger and that man gave me no reason to doubt him. I always thought he was truly inspirational. He made me a believer in what he was preaching as far as juicing…

So recently I decided to give it a try once again and picked up the most robust juicer he ever offered and I’m loving it so far. It’s awesome and I can physically feel the difference.

All these good fresh fruits & vegetables sure beats junk food, but just the fact that I wasn’t consuming all these veggies before makes a significant difference.

However something weird happened today… I think these veggies are scared because they know I’m bout to juice and I literally saw a carrot grow legs and try to run away! Look at this!!!

He didn’t get far… I caught em, and juiced em.lol.

Who could forget Jack LaLanne? I remember the juice craze--I think I still have a juicer somewhere.

PS Good thing you caught that carrot, if it had gotten away, you never know what kind of mischief it could have gotten into.

Jack Lalanne was the Man! Right?!

I didn't realize he was from your neck of the woods. He certainly was a fixture of early-morning TV, I remember it being Saturday morning, but a friend remembers it weekday mornings.

I did a fluids and air check on the FJ, inside so the tyre temps are even, everything is good. I don't know if I should do it more often, but it seems to be something I do once a month, I know I did it more often with my last car, but that had the GM 3.0 V6 in it. I do carry a 1 litre bottle, but I can't ever remember adding any to the FJ between changes. I just checked the bottle, it has been opened, but the date on it is 2014, so I guess it was from my last car, it used the same 5w30 as the FJ. 10 years old, I wonder if I should keep it.

Also, a bonus pic of dried mud beads, NV coating is still working.

Sitting in the fridge, waiting for you. But if you don't make it by tomorrow, I can't guarantee it will still be there. Damn things are addictive.

We had an earthquake today, a 4.8 around 5km deep at midday, it was about 100km from my house. I was at the golf driving range, which is only 80km from the epicenter, but I didn't feel anything.

Also met with a dietitian, recommended by my doctor. Eat less of the stuff you like, and more of the stuff you don't like, basically. Even though my blood test results and blood pressure are all good.

I have an app as well, so I got the alert about 10 minutes after it happened, I asked the other guys at the range, no one else felt it. As far as I know my dogs didn't even bark.

Lots of people did though, some houses got cracks in the walls, brick chimneys fell, some blackouts as well, but it doesn't seem like there were any injuries.

I have only ever felt one earthquake, the 5.9 on September 22, 2021. I remember it sounding like standing next to a moving train, the water was swaying in the bird baths and ponds, shaking windows.

One of the boss's ended up with a non-structural partition wall separating from the house.

I felt the Newcastle earthquake back in 89, I was at work in North Ryde in Sydney, about 160km away, the doors and windows rattled.

Where I was today is near a train line, and there's coal trains going through all the time, they would have masked the noise and vibration from the earthquake.

Here's something a little scary, the epicenter was only about 13km from the proposed location of one of the Nuclear Power plants that Dutton wants to build. I wonder if this will change his mind.

We had another earthquake, very close to the same place, 4.74 registered on the Richter scale. This time I was in the garage watching YT, I have a model of an X-Wing hanging from the ceiling, I didn't notice it move, and I didn't feel anything. Also my dogs were napping next to me and they didn't react either. Interestingly it's right next to a big open cut mine.

It is a little unusual, but it is an active region, not like California, Hawaii, or New Zealand active though. These 2 have just been a little bigger than normal. The Hunter region has some big coal mines, so if you keep digging big holes, I suppose you're going to make things happen. The Port of Newcastle is the largest coal port in the world, I was curious as to how much coal gets exported every year, wow, it's around 150 million tonnes of coal per year. It's no wonder we're a bit geologically active.

I hope so!

Amazing, nuclear is efficient, clean, sustainable power generation.......................until something goes wrong and its certainly not clean at all! Chernobyl or Fukushima anyone? Now unhabitable for 100's and 100's of years.
