Has Anyone Tried the Foamed Wool pads?

Never tried it with the PC. Personally dont think it would work very well. I use it on just about every correction I do with the rotary though.

Talk with AL-53 he's used the LC wool/foam pad a few times.AL also used the Edge wool pad ..IIRC he stated they were top notch..

The Foam wool pads are a great pad...will do correction to final polishing ..depends on the product....I got one to try and then bought 3 more...just remember to spur it on each panel and you will get better results...

I really like the pad....does alot for one pad...

I do not think you will get full advantage of the foamed wool on a PC like on a rotary ...

But on a Rotary they are very good....to me its a must have pad....I have used it with SIP to PO85Rd and it works great with them...

The foamed wool pad is all I use now with UDM and Menzerna PO 106FF, PO85RD,
the results are unmatched by foam pads, this is my finding on it.

I also use the LC leveling wool pad with Menzerna Power Gloss Compound
I can do in one pass what takes foam 2-3 passes to do.

would a wool pad work well with xmt medium swirl remover and a PC? I have a clearcoat paint job and the orange pad just isnt enough. Would a yellow pad be worth a shot?

Everything I've read always indicated that you shouldn't use wool with a pc. You'll end up leaving more swirls than you take out. They're really designed to be used with a rotary. There was one exception though, this guy at Autopia claimed that it worked really well for him. I got the impression no one really believed him but who knows, from the pictures he showed it looked good. Personally I wouldn't try it. I don't think the pc is fast enough.

Smart move, wool is for rotaries - been there-done that!
