I dont see anything special about it. Reminds me of a GM product interior.

This is from Wards website:

"30 vehicles are facing close inspection for fit-and-finish, ergonomics, materials, comfort and aesthetics."

The Stinger happens to be one of them. Is it subjective-could be, could they be objective, most likely, but then again beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some like Cadillac's some like Lincoln's some like Foreign. Either way you buy what you like, or for some they buy to impress but that is another story. You should buy what you can afford, but that is just my opinion.

When I was younger I used to be very subjective on muscle cars but as I got older I learned to be more objective . Younger days could not stand Stangs(60-70's) now I like them, I never owned one at the time but now a friend of mine has a classic Stang and after I drove it my opinion changed. Now I am happy that they are still on the road.

I used to think my American made muscle car was really fast(72 GS) until I got spanked by a WRX--opinions and judgments change along with the times and technologies that make them fast!!! But in the same thought, when I drive down the road I get thumbs up and the WRX is just another car on the road.

My neighbor has an 2016 S class that is always in the shop--I am not thrilled about the interior, I had a CT6 that IMO had a nicer interior. CT6-nothing but headaches-tranny problems-got rid of it and bought a new Lacrosse-nicer ride than the CT6, almost as nice interior and its a daily driver, unlike his S class(which btw he leases every 3 yrs) is usually on a rollback at least once every other month. Point is he thinks he has the best car on the road and others think just the opposite, so its just a matter of opinion.

But when that S class isn't in the shop, people see you and think your somebody, that's worth something...right?

Yep,that is how he thinks. IMO if I can't afford to buy it, I don't. I was brought up a little different-was taught if you can not buy it don't rent because its never yours. To me its a false sense of ownership. That goes from tools to cars to houses, just how I was raised-not knocking others.

Anyway, getting off track here a little bit, I still think he has a nice interior in that Stinger.

KIA has become a s#it stirrer for sure, getting people to take notice and this is only the beginning, their sister company, Hyundai, has their Veloster N coming out and it too has the goods to ruffle the feathers of GTI fanboys. People need to realize there's a new kid on the block, well, they've been there the whole time but have been at home doing their homework, time for recess!!

Dont be silly. I could care less what people think I have. I purchase what makes me happy or is rational for my use. When my wife and I parked in a bus parking lot and commuted to NYC, I used a 95 Subaru Outback, 03 RAV4, or a 07 CRV. By the way, I don’t rent. I purchase. I own everything I have including my home.
When I no longer had to subject the car to being dinged, etc, then I bought the wife a 2012 X3 (trading in the CRV which retained its value the best of any car I have owned. By far!) and then a 13 E350 Cab and now a 18 E400 Coupe. For years , my one “nice car was a Lexus. A 92 ES, 98 GS, or 06 SC 430 because they were super reliable. Tired are having very good cars but were a bit boring to drive, I went to BMW, MB, or Audi for the fun factor hoping for reliability as well. The E Class and A6 have been quite reliable overall for their respective manufacturers. Have had good luck with all the German cars I’ve owned as far as reliability. Nothing major. Regarding your comment about the SClass in the shop. Remember chief, even that car is more reliable than yourvFiat which you confirmed way back is on the bottom of CR reliability list.
I wish you all the luck as do I the owner of the Stinger. No offense, but there are some that don’t like it. As long as you purchase an auto that makes you happy is all that counts. Nothing personal. I see many a car down here that I love but were hideous in color. To each his own.
As for me, I drive a 16 A6.

You must be looking at that through rose colored glasses. LMFAO!!!

Instead of coming on a car detialing forum and bashing other peoples vehicles and their choices I have a suggestion for you, go detail something.

Dudley, your point has been dually noted, just trolling at this point. You don't like the Stinger, drove Japanese prior and now MB/ Audi, ok....

Funny, it looks more like an Audi A5 Sportback which is a direct competitor to it. Given the design team they have, that's not a surprise. My only gripes are the center of the steering wheel and when you actually are in the car, you can see they use lessor quality plastics on the lower portion of the interior but nicer finishes up top. Not a bad way to incorporate cost savings though. IMO Kia needs to update the font they use on the dash too.

If that car had an other pedal and a different gear selector, it would be perfect ;)
