Hey guyz, this SUV belongs to my neighbors, so I was able to detail it at my house, and boy am I glad, this had to be one of the dirtiest details I hae done, but after 10 hrs of detailing, it came out pretty good, at least the owner was extremely impressed. A lot of the paint was to far gone for me to touch, a lot of paint missing form unwashed love bugs. Anyway, here is what I did, check it.

The Process:

  1. Soaked the entire suv with ## Kiss Off APC and rinsed off with pressure washer.
  2. Soaked the entire car with DG 901 in foam gun and rinsed off with pressure washer.
  3. Two bucket was with DG 901 and chennille mitt and cobra mf scrub pad, cleaned tires and rims with ## Wheel and Tire Cleaner and wheel brush, rinsed with pressure washer.
  4. Clayed with DP Clay and DP Clay Lube, then dried and wiped down with cobra guzzler and PB SG.
  5. Compounded with Optimum Compound and green edge pad with DA on 5, then polished with Optimum Polish and orange edge pad with DA on 5. Forgot about the optimum line for a while, been using menzerna, and have to say Optimum is a force to be reckoned with, extreme working time, even in direct sunlight on black paint, which is how I did it.
  6. Waxed with Pinnacle Soveran X2 and wiped down with cobra indigo and PB SG.
  7. Dressed tires with Megs. Hot Shine Spray and dressed wheelwells with ## Blue Guard II, dressed trim with Pinnacle Soveran.
  8. Hit the windows with DA and Optimum Compound real quick.
  9. Sealed rims with Insulator Wax
  10. Vaccumed interior, clean carpets and mats with water/woolite mix, cleaned and conditioned vinyl with Megs. 40 and wiped down leather with Lexol Leather Dressing. Wiped down windows with Stoners IG.

Well thats all folks, hope it looks good.
AG ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW.... what an improvement! Very nice job!

Looks like you have done a great job! I really like Optimum polishes myself, work well in direct sunlight. Question, did you use Souveran paste, liquid, or Spray Souveran???

That is a extreme makeover man!
I've read on other forums that it is not recommended to use a compound with the PC because it can not break down completely but you are showing the opposite, great job!

I hope your neighbor took care of you for doing that for him, because that was one dirty vehicle!

Soveran Paste, the best of the best.

Yes and no, I didn't charge them the full price just because we have known them so long and they have helped me in the past, still I made off good.

I have that too, but I havn't used a compound yet that couldn't be broken down with a PC, sometimes I my have to bump up the PC to 6, still never had a problem.

That was a dirty one. You made it beautiful. It's also nice that you cut a deal for your neighbor. :)

Next vehicle on my list to do. Thankfully mine is light blue and not black. Nice job.

Easy to see why he was impressed. That turned out beautiful.
