Anyone watch youtube detailers?

What if another entities methodogies are the 80 yard pass and AGO is, in fact, the "pound it up the middle 50 times" method in a particular situation?

To rely on a single source of information just seems limiting, IMO. No single resource does everything in the absolute best way possible for everyone.

Same reason I don't get all my information from AGO forum; too limiting. There's a whole 'nother world of products/procedures outside of PBMG.

If sole adherence to the AGO way works for you, great but this is all entertainment for a hobbyist like me so limiting myself to a single source of information is just that...limiting.

You make an excellent point.

I like White Details , Ammo, car craft and a few others. I also watch car cleaning guru if I want to meditate while getting good detailing information.
Your not kidding about car cleaning guru. I just watched a trim restore video from him and literally fell asleep

You guys need to watch ride and shine detailing. He's in Finland, speaks perfect English, and does some amazing cars and beautiful work. He's a true perfectionist, with a shop that will knock your socks off!

When I was contemplating detailing as a business, I stumbled across Autofetish and Junkman2000. I would see others (Ammo, Gary Dean, etc) but always went back to Darren's info on his site and Junkman's video (informative but funny). These two fueled my desire for detailing and lead me to enroll in Autogeek Detail Camp. I still look at others as I always pick up tips, techniques, etc. I'm passionate about detailing and look forward to learning regardless of the source.

I found Ammo a few years ago and realized how little I knew - but I watched a bunch of his videos and learned quite a lot. I also realized I didn't want to buy products as expensive as he was selling and looked around - that eventually led me here!

Now I can "save" money buying stuff I didn't know I needed!

Jim White is an all time favorite!!! I could sit at home and watch his videos all day long 🤤

That cute girl who sometimes does detailing vids is ok.. Sometimes she over does it with trying to be cute but overall it’s not too bad when you consider she’s 100% easier on the eyes compared to the rest. Lol.

I can’t remember her name, but if you know who I’m talking about, then you know what I’m talking about.

Is she the one that mods her cars?

“Sarah-n-Tuned” is that the channel?

Not bad videos.

Obsessed Garage for me

As a person I like him, but they way he speaks and the length of his videos kind of bore me. Great information though but you should definately watch white details. His blogs are entertaining and the before and after difference is crazy!

Yes I do. Generally Acc0rd79, Dallas Paint correction, AmmoNy, etc. Some are more helpful than others.

The first time I heard of Autogeek was from Acc0rd79! I was watching one of his videos and he mentioned where he got his GG6 from, 20 minutes later I purchased my first order with AGO. I blame him for getting me hooked!

Obsessed Garage for me

I think his material is good but his videos are way to long for me. I mean he had a video for over an hour on how to wash a car :(. Sometimes I think some of these Youtube detailers just love hearing themselves speak.

He's mentioned a few times that his therapist advised him to do certain things. Making videos was an outlet for him to express/share himself. He says he was surprised that people started watching. And he is surprised it took off the way it did.

I have been surprised by the "off road yaris" video I did. Just toying around, but it's received more views than I would have thought.

I respect the Obsessed Garage dude because he makes it clear that he’s just a dude who likes to tinker with his toys in the garage and doesn’t claim to be a pro nor is his goal to entertain anyone. If you’re interested to sit through for the while you’re more than welcome. I respect where he’s coming from.

Or should I say where he started from, because I believe he sells things now. I could be wrong through, I don’t follow his vids closely.

My hook was AMMONYC in an effort to main the black on my XC90. After a while I couldn’t afford to keep buying his products being in California but completely trust his technique and production value for the clips is great. I did just buy his frothe product to try out the hose less product. I trust Mike Phillips’ knowledge but wonder how much influence the sponsors have on what he recommends.
