Lake Country polishing machine?????

Well done Lake Country Manufacturing! :props:

Can't say I'm disappointed. Very cool & I look forward to Mikes review & other folks opinions who have had a turn with it in hand. Exciting!

Nice looking tool. Now I have to figure out why I need to change the orbit. I hope LCs pads are able to keep up with the heat generated by having the largest motor on the market. I can’t even run my polisher on 6 for any length of time without ruining my pads. Kudos to LC for engineering a new tool instead of making a copy of an existing tool. The Attack of the Clones was getting tiresome. I wonder if it is made in the USA? Is there an article on the new polisher with its specs?

In the pics it shows a flex and on of the 4-1 tools so I'm hoping it's forced as well.

that's what I saw too. not sure why they would show pics and mention 4 in 1 but not outline what exactly they are.....or why they wouldn't note free spinning or forced rotation. odd or just a slip in marketing?

Hey Jason.... can I get an early serial#? I’d love to give an honest review of this machine!!

Good morning Jim, sorry for the delay, my phone email and inbox has been overrun with requests. We have not made any formal decisions on field testing at this time :-)

We'll have to see about the pricing. Saw somewhere it may retail for between $600-700! That seems quite steep. Makita offers a very unique design feature in their PO5000C in that it is forced rotation and free-spinning.....for $369.00.

On the matter of "user adjustable throw" or what ever they call it, It is a novel feature, I'll give them that. However, after you have played with it a bit I bet the novelty will wear off pretty quickly. I'm still a fan of the current offerings either 15mm or 21mm "set it and forget it" design.

Let's see what real-world users say and let the market speak as to its value!

Curious what machines you have experience with to make the above statement?

Looks nice, but knowing me I'd accidentally bump the Rotary switch and burn up somebodies hood paint thinking I was in DA mode lol. I kid, but it does look sweet.

Has this thing been released yet?

Very good question. I believe they “went back to the drawing board” a few months back. I remember reading something from LC but I can’t find it. The thing will have so many moving parts they have to get it right. With so many cheap knockoffs of the Rupes available it is going to be difficult for LC to charge $600 for a polisher. You can buy 4 $99 Chinese knockoffs with different throws. I bought a $99 set and it had two Sonax pads and the pads alone would have been $30. I don’t know how they can make them so cheap.
