What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Ahh, so YOU are the other guy!

I had a suspicion he he was seeing someone else, and I knew I found traces of TOGW on one of my last details. Just like lipstick on the collar...oh that cheating SOB.

Ha, just kidding bud. He’s told me that he uses another service from time to time if I don’t get back to him.

And great work above, glad to know he’s in good hands if I don’t make it down there

Yea, I forget who the other one was. Somehow his business cards ended up in my shopvac. :dunno:

I think he must have used him last. That’s when I noticed the wax stained residue on his trim. :(

He’s a decent customer that likes to keep his car clean, rain or shine. He’s a character too. Reminds me of Tommy Lee Jones for some reason

I spent about 45 minutes dialing in my process. My client hired me for a One-Step Polishing on this 2011 Acura TL. I wanted to make sure I was able to erase YEARS of automatic car wash scratches as best as possible in one polishing session.

His wish is to keep the car versus trading it in. I told him he would fall back in love with his car again. He was thrilled!

Finally prepped the RS for winter... had a 60 degree day and thought I'd take advantage of it (might be the last one around here for a while).

Used Essence as my LSP again... forgot how much I love this product... so easy on/off!!!!!

Washes in PA are soon going to be a thing of the past. Going to be ugly tonight and cold. Gave it a good wash followed by a good dry with 10 min. paint sealant. Wheels got Hydro blue. Engine git Sonax engine degreaser and Sonus motor kote.

Exactly.

Yup. Coming to LI tomorrow. Got a hyper wash in, coat of 476, and hit my trim with Mckee's TR. Probably one of the last things detail related for this year. :/

Now to remove the A/C's and switch the mower to the back of the shed in favor of the snow blower.

Crap.

The sisters-in-law are visiting for the weekend and I had different car to detail today. I was so excited. My sisters-in-law are my family too and their cars get the full treatment. The interior was cleaned with Optimum Gel Shampoo and treated with 303. The exterior was washed with Meguiars Hyper Wash and finished with Griots One Step Sealant. The tires were the most difficult. They were never cleaned or treated. They were cleaned multiple times with Meguiars D143, Bleche White and finally with Mother's Back to Black. They needed three coats of 303 Tire Balm.
This was the first time I used the Griots One Step Sealant and I was pleased with the results. You can feel the slight abrasive but it cleaned up without much dust. It was given to me as a gift from a wonderful person on this forum. You know who you are.

I spent the most of the day restoring this beauty...

Now it’s time to give my own car some love. It’s time for a little headlight restoration.

Snap a pic under the hood of that old car for a mechanic, Eldo!

Looks good, what did you use?

Griots Satin Spray. Spread it out with carrand brush/applicator, then hit it with my Metro SideKick to make sure there weren’t any heavy spots puddled in any of the knobs.
