What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I’m guessing front license plate isn’t required by law in your state? I wish we could do without it in California.

Yes, no front plate in PA Im the MAN

I did the europlate since the car was made in Germany.

LOL

I just did a 30 mile drive cycle on an '18 RS today.

I like the "track mode". Didn't put it into "drift mode" though............ :xyxthumbs:

I actually hate track mode on the street. I usually use normal, sport or drift.

I've been driving for the better part of 35 years in this state and I can honestly say I don't think I've ever had the front plate on any vehicle I've owned. I have six cars right now, none have the front plate on. Never even been pulled over for it, let alone gotten a ticket.

FNW!

For tonight's wash I grabbed my AMMO NYC FROTHE in its special foamer. I also grabbed my IK 1.5 foamer and poured in the newly made 3 oz ratio of Auto-Fanatic foaming wheel cleaner. Now, my wheels weren't like they were last week which had 2 weeks worth of driving and lots of salt on them, so this is why I decided to try an even lighter mix than suggested on the bottle, I'm pleased to report that they wheels came out great! I used 303 Tire and Rubber cleaner on the tires and wells, scrubbed the tires and let it dwell in the wells, rinsed down with the Worx hydroshot....CLEAN!

The AMMO NYC Frothe made short work of the weeks worth of dirt on the car. I could've did a foaming pre-wash and 2BM to the car but it was only a weeks worth of dirt and no massive salt build up like last weeks cleaning. This product foams and starts to break things down, a thinner mf towel is needed here because of the foam cushion, LOVE THIS PRODUCT! The car finishes extra clean with AMMO NYC too, you can literally see it

I finished up with 2x's Gyeon Tire Express and I've gotta everyone its moving up the ladder here! Being able to put it on a tire that is wiped down dry, even though it really isn't dry yet, is a real convenience, NO other product on the market allows you to do this. Once dry the finish is a beautiful shine, a step above sheen and really lasts and hasn't turned brown on me yet, even after a 2 week brutal test too. Looking to try something new, pick up Gyeon Tire Express , you'll not be sorry...TRUST ME!

I'll post pics tomorrow, heading over to my buddy Hectour's house to head to the opening day, well to the general public anyways, of the Chicago Auto Show and then down to our buddy Kevin's house as he lives in the city. Its going to be a day of cars and food, can't wait (pics tomorrow)

I too did the Ammo Frothe Foam Wash. I felt that it cleaned all the dirt off the car really well.

I’ve been pulled over for not having a front license plate before. Funny thing is that it happened the very same day I finished a 3 day hand polish detail on my car many years ago. I figured my car was clean enough to pull off Corvette style, but nope, I got pulled over on the very 1st cruise.

I think you need to do a how to thread on how you made that contraption

Is that a setup that you can buy together the foam pump sprayer bottle and the cordless air compressor?

Very cool and interesting setup. Those small foam pump sprayer bottle you need to be pumping a lot of times to do a whole car. Looks working awesome for you!

Its a custom setup, real simple to do:

It's like window tint. It's just a fix it ticket I believe. You put your plate on, find any cop to sign off your ticket and pay like $10. Then pull the plate off again. That's what I did the one time I got a window tint ticket 20 years ago.

True. Back in the days getting pulled over period was somewhat of a concern because I was less responsible while driving sometimes if you know what I mean. So giving the cops a reason to pull you over for nothing was the last thing I wanted to do.

Through the years I’ve gone off and on with having tinted windows for that same reason. Nowadays my windows are tinted all around. Cops seem to treat you alot different once you’re older... *knock on wood*

Too funny - just started a thread yesterday about modding a cheap pump up sprayer. The how-to you posted was one of the ones I watched during research.

What pressure do you run it at?

No I'm not the guy in the youtube how to. I followed his instructions in making mine too. I use about 40 PSI or so.

Yea I don’t have a carpet machine so kinda pondering how to go about getting this one clean. I know how I did my truck at one point and this may get the same. Remove seats and see what I can do

Minerigger, for carpets like that I use a stiff brush held against my shopvac nozzle and agitate and vacuum at the same time. I use a grout and tile brush.

Try to get is as clean as you can like that first before you wet it.
