What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

He probably made the finish look worse than what it was and now it’s going to be even more difficult to correct. Corvette clear is hard.

It looked really bad... Swirls + narly oxidation. I’m not completely sure if the fading/oxidation was due to the polishing that btw he did with a rotary or the fact that he didn’t apply any protection after polishing.

I thought about getting involved... But then again I decided maybe I shouldn’t. I’ve already had his Corvette headlights make me look like a fool once.lol.

With recent discussion on “foaming” I busted out the cannon on my car today. I’m in the school of how much can it really help, it’s just a money grab. I also know it can’t hurt and I could be wrong so I foam anyways. I pressure wash one side first using green nozzle. I used Griots foaming surface wash on other side. With actually taking a close look their was a difference in cleanliness in the foamed side although it was still dirty. Didn’t feel it was safe enough to semi wipe down for pics. I then foam the pressure washed side with a “snow foam” and It still looked the same after. Again the semi minimal amount of surface dirt removed, I don’t know if that will help marring when I wash (did ammo frothe) after). But they Griots foam did remove some grime for me on my car. Tried the Griots foaming tire cleaner and I thought it worked great. My only thing to compare it to though was their regular rubber and tire cleaner. The foaming area ol was significantly better. As always ammo frothe was the bomb.

Was the dirt too much for Frothe alone? I ask because since it's a foaming WW it's pretty safe to use on a dirty/salty car unless the dirt is caked up. Btw do you have the short nap towels from AMMO NYC that come with the Frothe kit?

I’ve seen Larry clean some pretty dirty cars with frothe. I just still think with a lot of dirt better chance for marring. I didn’t buy his towels. I use rag company I got from the big A. Spectrum 420gsm 7i/30. Follow up with Merlin’s type mix a a creature edgeless 420.

You have the ammo foamer? If so next time you use frothe can you post a pic. Foam just one pass. Close and far shot. Wanna see if theirs a difference between his foamer and IK 1.5

Are you trying to compare spray patterns?

Yes and thickness of foam. I’ve gotten pretty good with the IK but it is really wide spray pattern. Also foams pretty thick. Get about 3 washes with 2 ozs. Comes out to about $1.25 per wash. Not to crazy but I hate paying 10$ per bottle for shipping?

To be more clear...or maybe not, try Frothe in the IK 1.5L as well as the AMMO NYC one?

Label reminds me of “generic cereal” from back in the 80’s. Lol. You know, that stuff you’d probably be afraid to eat if moms would’ve brought some home. Lol.

You can do both if you feel. I’m just more interested in the ammo one. I’m getting about 2.5 washes out of 2oz. That’s about 20 out of 16 oz bottle. Larry says about 25-30 per bottle and I have a small car(mustang). It’s a convertible so less real estate to cover. I’m wondering if the ik 1.5 is using more product. Maybe due to wider spray?

Naw I'm from ghetto so we ate whatever mom brought home lol. Sir that right there is the Cadillac of detailing products. You have to reach level B.O.S.S 2.5 to be able to enter the building

I’m friends with some detailing gods, and that’s way up above boss status, playboy. Lol.
