What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Got all excited on WG up to 30% off sale thinking "Ah HA...128oz Si02 Uber Wash and SiO2 Waterless Wash are MIIIINE". Then got :-( when I realized that the 128 ozers for what I want are N/A. Now I am sad. LOL!

I took care if the interior on my neighbors car.

So it rained last night and a little bit this morning, so I decided to wash the car. I did a N914 WW on Friday night and I mean NIGHT. I cleaned the wheels and decided to apply a coat of OPT tire coating, yep, I rolled the dice again. I drove it a short distance yesterday and it sat out in the 94 degree heat for the rest of the afternoon/evening.

Today's wash was just a foaming using Mother's Triple Foam wash, Chemical Guy's wheel cleaner and Jay Leno's Garage quick detailer, a "left over" wash if you will. All products did a great job but putting the GC's wheel cleaner not diluted with water didn't work so well with my IK Foam 9 which I want to use for wheel cleaners like this, a chance to still use the machine and use up some stock

The JLG quick detailer is really a nice product and even though I don't really use a designated QD anymore I'm glad I used it as a drying aid, worked VERY well and left a very nice Gloss behind.

Now the car sits and I'm hoping it doesn't rain

4th layer of Klasse SG (across three weekends...maybe 4?), Klasse AIO on the exterior windows, and some Sonus Acrylic Glanz on the door jams. As a first time user of Klasse, hoping to see 6 months of protection now with not much more than bi-weekly mantenance washes with a bit of the Sonus Glanz.

Using your instructions of course! Thanks for that bit of advise. Super easy on and off. This morning before the 4th layer I dried the car off with a 12X12 MF towel. Nothing seems to stick to SG.

It really makes application easy but that 2nd coat after 12 hr cure time really stands out

I'm glad I've been able to help out so many people with this product because I hate when people say its hard to work with

Killed some time and applied a coat of "That guy from the Lone Star State's" product line where you mix 4 oz of distilled water, 4 oz of his WW and 2 oz of his spray sealant. It's been quite some time since I've used it for obvious and various reasons. That said, I'm glad I did because it's really fun to apply and it gives me additional protection from the trees (which get trimmed this Tuesday)

Yesterday I got up early to wash the cars. The c43 is coated w car pro cquartkz uk and the glc43 has polish angel viking coat. So basically just maintenance washes. I vacuumed the interior of each and cleaned the dashes, doors and seats for the first time. You could tell the kids have been in the cars but now they look brand new again.

Polished the Stang. I didnt realize how cloudy and dull the paint was. The roof especially. It was shiny, but lacked any depth. Much improved.

Question: will it be OK to wait a week or 1 to protect the paint? My order from Autogeek was delayed due to a back order item. I'm hoping to get the other items (Gtechniq EXOv4 is one of them) by next week and I don't want to wax it and then have to strip. Car will sit in the garage for the most part...might take it for a short drive, but it won't be outside or see any rain till it's coated. Thoughts?

Sorry no pictures. A friend stopped by today. Told me about hitting some highway cones this past winter. She’s got paint streaks on the fender..... hold on while I get “The Pixie”. Buffed right out with a 1 inch buff.

Detail Therapy Day.

Maintenance wash the blue Falcon, first since April. Suds by CarPro Reset.

And all tucked back into bed.

Still wanting more, I gave the XE a quick wash too.

So with two spotless cars, I too feel cleansed. I had my noise cancelling headphones on listening to music and podcasts and the sun was shining, utter bliss. :D
