What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I did half a Griot's Garage Brillant Finish RW mixed as a WW in the morning before work and the other half after work. It was 68 degrees when I got off of work at 5:30...getting spoiled here

The Qashqai got rained on this morning, so after getting it back into the garage, I dried it using After Glow, it hadn't picked up any dust or dirt. Had the news on while I was working, it seems to be going a bit nuts over there.

I did an extremely sloppy and careless waterless/rinseless wash on the Edge.

-Leftover CarPro reset bucket, half-full
-a few microfiber towels
-Big Red Sponge
-CarPro Ech2O
-Blue Magic Juice (which is Ech2O with Reload added to it)
-ONR diluted in a spray bottle

I skipped the wheels.
It’s supposed to rain for twenty minutes on Sunday.

Oh...base protection is TACsystem Total One Essential primer polish, One Step Master on the paint and Moonlight on the roof. Applied back in May.

Whatever happened with this beast?

I drove my girlfriend to work so I could work on her car today. While it was warming up outside, I worked on the interior - cleaned hard surfaces, did my best to remove dog hair using a Lily brush and vacuum, cleaned door jams/rubber seals. When I warmed up, I cleaned the wheels, washed the car (2BM), then clay mitt. Then I used Griots Correcting Cream with Griots orange pads & G8/G9. Half of the car is done with that. To be continued tomorrow...

I’m in the midst of another horse trailer detail. This one has a fiberglass roof and vinyl sides. I think fiberglass can be lightly polished (?). If not, I will do a final wash with CarPro HydrO2 for some all-over protection.

Karcher 1700 pressure washer is getting a big time workout. Thankfully, most of the grime is coming off without chemicals.

This has been the greatest week of weather in Chicagoland during Novemeber, ever, well as long as I've been hereI decided to do a P&S Pearl foam wash on the ES. Just sprayed/dwelled/rinsed/dried. I then used Brake Buster on the rims as they needed a good barrel wash since I didn't clean them properly when I had them swapped out this past spring. I used all brushes and got them looking nice once again, properly clean

Since its sooooo nice and I want my winter LSP as FRESH as possible I decided to boost my 4 week old 303 graphene coating with another layer. This time I only did the painted surfaces and OEM winter wheel faces/spokes. I'll apply some tire dressing after lunch, maybe I'll snap a pic when I'm at the grocery store, surely people are bored of the same old same old pics I put up here

Stay "tuned".....

Same here, Roger.

It was 75 here today, and will be a bit warmer tomorrow and Monday.

I did a quick bucket wash with GG Brilliant Finish, hit my tires with some DG 253, and put another coat of 476 on my hood and roof. I stopped there because this was after 3 hours of yard work/leaf blowing/gutter cleaning.

I'm old now, and tomorrow is another (warm) day. :)

Continued Friday and today. Finished doing the car with Griots Correcting Cream, then Meguiars Ultimate Polish and finally 2 coats of Powerlock+ (which is actually the first wax on this car aside from any spray wax or whatever the dealer put on it 6.5 yrs ago). The car feels so smooth. Now I can get back to my car and get more wax on that before winter.

I did. Probably unnecessary. I tried it on the hood to see if it made a difference. I can't say it was much but it was quick enough to just do the large flat surfaces.
