What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I detailed my sisters car today.

Nice taste in cars. Almost twins with mine except for the wheel color.

I did an urgent swirl removal on a BMW M4 Competition
Car is coated with GTechniq CSL.
I used CarPro Essence+ and FLEX FXE with an LC blue light polish pad.

Kids, don’t take your nice cars to the car wash.

Applied some Meg's Kwik Wax to the vinyl on my hood, and noticed a little dust on the rest of the panels, so I gave it a light going over with some Bowden's Own Boss Gloss. This may sound like a broken record, but the Collinite 845 , combined with an occasional heavy downpour, and the very vertical panels on the FJ, leads to some very good self cleaning.

Outside today, 37.1C, near enough to 99F, and it's not even summer yet. View attachment 71565View attachment 71566View attachment 71567

Three details today, the Mustang, XE and Ranger all receiving attention.

As I'm sure you all know, the detailing process actually continues after the car itself is clean.

Cleaning, sorting and storing is the aftermath of a detailing session. Yes, cleaning the stuff that does the cleaning so that they are clean for the next cleaning session.

Everything has a place and everything in its place! Organisational Bliss!:D

Here in the correct thread Delta Sonic drive thru wash this morning and Eco Touch tire dressing, 1 coat this morning and 1 when I got back to the shop

60 Degrees and off today. So wanted to get out for some detail therapy. Normal maintenance wash. Same trusted products. Finished with HSWW and Duragloss #253 on the tires.

So I got out there this morning to wash off the dust from a couple days of driving, plus to do a proper tire/wheel cleaning. I started with Auto-Fanatic foaming wheel cleaner for the tires/wheels and 3 of 4 of my brushes. Once I was done there I turned my attention to the car.

For this I decided to do a Griot's Garage Brillant Shine rinseless wash. I added 4 ounces to 3.5 gallons of water in the wash solution bucket and had plenty of rinse water in the other bucket after needing it for my water source for the Worx hydroshot during the rinsing of the tires/wheels.

I really love using Griot's Garage Brillant Shine rinseless wash, I feel it doesn't get enough pub here and it SHOULD! I didn't dress the tires but in the pic you can see they look pretty good but knowing me I'll go out there after lunch and add "something"

Sometimes it's going to need a good, contact wash where soap and spray gets EVERYWHERE, plus the optional underbody wash. As you can see I'm outdoors now, first time in over 7 yrs, gotta adjust things a bit.

Btw, THIS is going to be a real test for the 303 graphene!

After years of reading about Collinite 845 I ordered in a bottle and tried it out.

Goes on so easy, reminds me of a spray detailer. I put a Viking pad over the top of the bottle and put a “drop” on both ends and middle and did half a Corvette. 3 more “drops” and I was done..... yes, there was garage dust on the car....this is AZ. Easey peasey!

Put the winter tires on, polished the glass, rinseless the car then applied Carpro FlyBy30 on the glass.
I should have polished my headlights and coated them but I had already put the Flex away.

I figured why not see what this stuff will do and rubbed FlyBy30 on them. It took all the oxidation off and left them slippery. Really kinda weird it worked.
Hopefully it protects them for a minute...lol

I finally completed full paint correction with a coat of Collinite 845 on my beloved truck. The undercarriage was sprayed with Fluid Film. We are ready for winter, even though I probably won’t drive it on salty roads.
