What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Started polishing the paint on my recently purchased 2008 Tacoma. Before and after

Yesterday was cleaning the windshield and rear window, then claying and applying Griots glass sealant. Today was cleaning wheels/tires, applying tire dressing and ceramic wheel sealant.

After

It came out alright.
Would need a proper two-step, and it’s not worth it.

Ran out of time.

Great turnaround. How do you like 3D one and Perfect finish? I have both in my limited products and experience. :)

I actually just washed my car for the first time in 2 mths. :D Lower panels were bad, next time i think i will use an APC pre-wash on the lower panel. The car had around 1000km on the highway since the last wash. And i think i can finally confirm my car has soft paint! :D Its a 2016 blue camry. Lots of swirls in the sun but they don't look very deep.

Quick wash yesterday, nothing elaborate since rain is in the forecast on Wednesday!

Used Megs D143 on the wheels and tires with DP Tire Gel (single coat since it’ll be raining on Wednesday), Duragloss shampoo and dried with The AWESOME Griots PFM!

I looked at the 2nd picture and was wondering why you took a pic of your garage door and light.
Then it hit me.
Nice transformation.

Thank you. I understand, it is confusing when you first look at it. It was difficult getting a good picture.

Awesome pic for sure.

If you want a really confusing one, check out BSoares's side-shot in his garage.

(I hope you read this, Bruno. I can't remember the thread.......:( )

Rinseless wash with Pure. Will Frothe tomorrow and then apply a couple layers of Overcoat followed by Cosmic.

Gave the FJ a 2B hand wash using Mother's California Gold, dried with Bowden's After Glow. I noticed the roof had lost its beading, so I re-applied the Collinite 845, but to the roof only, the sides and hood were fine. Might be due to the roof being a different, and single stage, paint. The Collinite was first applied Sep 24, so 9 weeks isn't bad for an upper surface that's outside 24/7, and we've had some heavy rain, and hot days. View attachment 71708View attachment 71709

I finally got a decent picture. I’ll make this my last picture of the tailgate.

Cleaned up the interior of corvette
I definitely focus in the exterior.
I sometime take for granted how good meguiars detailer line is

Used
Steamer
Megs apc
Megs hyper dressing
Megs leather cleaner and conditioner
Megs window cleaner

I regret not thing pictures but it is just a boring interior cleaning

Rinselessed yesterday with Fenylab Pure. Waterless’d today with Ammo Frothe. Wiped down with CP Eraser.

Planned in using up Moon light but first panel looked splotchy. This als may have been from Cancoat i put on couple months ago.

Cancoat was fine when applied but literally rock solid 3 weeks later.

Finished rest of car with Kami Overcoat topped with Polish Angel Cosmic.

Yeah she’s the garage queen. The Mustang is mad he gotta share. It’s a 71. SS clone

Yeah decided to get that as my plans to trade in and by a C8 went to wayside once i saw it in real life..... liked it but didnt love it to spend 70k in it. Thought about a Supra but their just too little for my taste, beautiful tho.

Thoughts went two a JDM R32 but i know i would spend to much modifying. In my 20-30’s always wanted a chevelle. A guy drove by my work and we chewed the fat and i started googling. Found it close to home and fell in love

That's a great story and your tastes are similar to mine, sadly my bank account doesn't match up The R32 is nice but the one thing that helps from going crazy with modding it are getting parts from Japan, not all that easy! I call the R32, 33 and 34's the "Japanese Grand National ". I LUST the Supra in that yellow, dark blue and that charcoal gray. I'm only 5'6" so I fit into everything just fine but I'm poor, my bank account is short too, like 0'0"

Yeah i’m not rich by anymeans. Do alright in my current job but pretty broke before that. I just have no kids, never married (divorced) and pretty frugal.

I don’t really do extravagant vacation (most like them, me? I just feel more depressed coming back to real life). I do feel blessed though as cars are my happy place.

Yeah the new supra is a sexy beast. Even got past the BMW stuff. It was size of a C7 it woulda been a wrap.

You seem like a good dude so keep the grind up and hope to see you in a supra (i vote yellow) soon.

"Buffed" a buddy's ambulance using Buff & Shine Uro-Tec Maroon Foam Pads & BlackFire One Step "spun" on a cordless Flex "Finisher"

He runs an adaptive cycling clinic for stroke survivors and uses this for sleeping in when traveling with a trailer (next buffing mission) filled with trikes for other survivors to try out. Spokes Fighting Strokes

He's a died in the wool car guy who suffered a stroke that wheelchair bound him for two years until he discovered recumbent trikes. He now walks and talks with use of one arm and waxes his Ambulance, Coachman coach, Pace trailer, and Cyclone travel trailer..... one handed until I found out. I told him I buff, he wipes!
