What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Opticlean’d the dusty garage queen.*

*’08 MINI Cooper Last of the Supercharged Edition convertible

It is 1 of 100, next to worthless, and something I try to take really good care of.

The tires were thoroughly cleaned with LA Totally Awesome and the wheels were cleaned with Griots HD Wheel Cleaner. Then the tires were coated with 2 coats of TufShine tire coating.

Worked on 2 different vehicles today, the owner of Xtreme Graphics and his right hand wo(man). The girl has the Jeep and Steve has the ZL1.

I did the Jeep first. Started on the tires and used Griot's Garage foaming tire cleaner and Auto-Fanatic foaming wheel cleaner (medium strength) and all 4 brushes called into service...all hands on deck! Once I was done there I began the pre-wash. For this I used 5 ounces of Gyeon Restart and foamed it down real good, used the entire contents of the CG's foam gun. I let it dwell and rinsed away, time for the 2BM. For the contact wash I used Griot's Garage carwash. Once I was done there the water was FLAT! For the LSP I used 303 Touchless Sealant and it then beaded like crazy! Drying was so easy and the paint was glossy! I applied the 303 Touchless Sealant to her wheels for added protection!

I used my mini Master Blaster to dry the tires and wheels and applied 303 Tire Balm, 2 coats using a Carrand tire brush due to slightly knobby sidewalls. Now onto the Camaro!

For the Camaro I used Auto-Fanatic foaming wheel cleaner and 303 Tire cleaner, emptied that Griot's Garage foaming tire cleaner. These wheels REALLY needed some attention and there was LOTS of brown foam!! I rinsed them down and sprayed Meg's HCW @4:1 and let it sit. I used 5 ounces of CarPro Lift in the CG's foam gun for the pre-wash and let it dwell and rinsed everything away, time for the 2BM.

The 2BM had me finishing my Griot's Garage carwash bottle but I also added some Gyeon Restart to the mix too. It cleaned up nice and the panels w/o PPF had beading but once again I applied the 303 Touchless Sealant to the ZR1 and it really POP'dThe drying was even easier here. I even added additional protection by spraying the 303 Touchless Sealant on the rims. Dried using the mini Master Blaster and applied 303 Tire Balm, Car came out great!!

This green literally G L O W S

Btw here's how rough Chicago is...even the kiddie cars get put up on blocks...but we eat good nonetheless

Drove my wife to Braum’s for some milk and groceries in the MINI. While I was waiting, wiped down the dash and door cards with Opt Leather Protectant.

I turned my friend on to machine polishing.

We did his 5 week old Bronco after work tonight.

I let him use my G9, while I worked the drivers side with my GG6.

It was his first time, but he got the hang of it pretty quick.

He’s wanting a G9 now------- He's HOOKED!! :buffing:

Applied my first ceramic coating today to my buddies Bronco.

Poorboy’s . The process was smooth, and it went quick with the two of us working.

He’s happy with it. I didn’t get the greatest pics, but the PB coating really made the metallic pop.

So after doing that Jeep and ZL1 Camaro this morning/afternoon the ES got some attention, especially since it rained yesterday and I drove home it...no problem, good reason for the "full monte"

I started out on tires and wheels. I have to admit here that the Feynlab Black Velvet was starting to wear away in sections, as The Guz said it would. So I decided to use the 303 Tire cleaner and short brissel brush. Now it certainly didn't remove it but I'm sure it leveled it down a bit. I then turned to the medium strength Auto-Fanatic foaming wheel cleaner to get my rims looking new again, all brushes made quick work of that. I also used that 303 Tire cleaner up in the wheelwells too and once the wheels were clean and rinsed I sprayed some 303 Touchless Sealant on the rims, let sit for a couple minutes and rinsed...TONS OF BEADING

For the pre-wash I decided on Griot's Garage foaming surface wash, getting low on that stuff but that's ok as the season for outside washing is coming to an end sooner than later AND I've got numerous other snow foams to use. Once I was done with the dwell/rinse it was time for the contact wash. For this Adam's carwash soap was used, 4 ounces in the bucket made great suds and it's just such a solid product! With the car washed and rinsed down it was time to dry...and drying aid

I finally got to use Dream Maker as a drying aid and DAMN did it excell for me! I did a little more sprays per panel but with one swipe of the Adam's turquoise drying towel is was bone dry...and GLOSSY I said it my review for Dream Maker and I'll say it here, this product WILL replace Beadmaker AND Paint Gloss, for me, from P&S. I heard gallons are coming for Dream Maker

I then turned to the tires and wheels to dry them and my mini Master Blaster knocked it out. I then sprayed some 303 Tire cleaner into a mf towel and swiped all 4 tires, let dry and applied Adam's graphene tire dressing to them and all is right in the world once again

Finished up with a mat vac and CG's Signature scent spray now I'm done. I've got a load of mf towels to run and it's time to relax and watch some LaLiga

I just responded to your PM about posting photos. It came out great. Poorboy's is on of the easiest coatings to apply and the slickest. I am sure he will enjoy the ease of washing it. Nice job by the both of you.l

Good start Ninja but I'd like to suggest you add ceramic carwash to the mix, makes a great pre-wash or if your ride is a little dusty just foam/dwell/rinse and dry, almost an Xpress RW if you will

Did a WW with WUSiO2. Very easy to use and left behind some nice gloss and slickness.

The Ranger has a service booked tomorrow, I wanted to get it cleaned up prior to it's visit. Oh, and it would mean playing with my new gun and bucket setup. :D

Hopefully the service tech who works on it tomorrow will appreciate the cleanliness.
