What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

How you liking the OG drying aid. Does it leave anything behind?

Yes it contains SiO2 in it. It is a spray sealant. Just dubbed as a drying aid as that is how Matt uses it. It is B&B slipstream or Xtreme Solutions Topper.

It works fine. Typical spray sealant.

Weekend wash. Topped the P&S coating combo with OG Drying Aid.

What are your thoughts on the OG drying aid?

Mustang's turn again.

These wheels are ceramic coated with NV Wheel so the initial rinse usually removes most of the brake dust. However I felt like the wheels needed some decon action today. I usually just use normal car soap to clean them but something was telling me they needed a bit more today.

Blown dry, wiped with some NV Boost and the tires dressed, they are now back to spec.

Beautiful pony!

2 new products tested today....3d bead it up and 3d waterless wash. Impressed i must say.

First time using a waterless wash. I did bucket wash my wheels/tires though cuz there chrome and i cant not have the barrels of the wheels clean lol.

What a time saver the waterless is!

Not exactly today, But acid rain on this truck really bad. Used CG hd water spot remover. Then follow up with some old Gliptone polish. Turned out not bad. The whole roof especially where the weather striping is for sunroof, All that black trim bleeding oils into the paint or thats what it looks like. Was tuff to get rid of. With a 3" foam pad and my drill not bad.

Invested in some new clay... after realizing the stuff I have is a few years old & probably past it's best :)

What’s the reason someone would use regular clay when things like those Griot’s synthetic clay pads are available? Just curious as a newbie.

If the paint surface is pretty bad you will need something a little bit more aggressive

Yup, Roger is right.

If you have deeply embedded contaminates, only a true clay will work to remove them.

The synthetic alternatives are great if you keep your paint in good condition though. You can cut your claying time by 2/3's IMO.
