What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Armor All, not just for cracking dashboards anymore

Clay is one thing I don’t scrimp on anymore

I’ve seen the $10 clay on Amazon and I bet there is some decent stuff but as you found out it’s a gamble

For over the counter clay I have bought a lot of the Megs and Mothers kits over the years

Not the most aggressive but safe and I feel a good value

I've used the Megs & Mothers, I ordered some from Adam's yesterday which will be here tomorrow. The Blue Glue is already boxed up to be returned.

I have never tried Adams but I’m sure it’s good stuff

I will do that

I got a Nanoskin fine mitt a while back and for occasional maintenance use it’s great but there are still certain times only clay will do the trick

Thanks Ron

I finally got a break in the wind and got the truck out for a much needed wash

It had been over a week and it was grubby

I think it’s been about a month now since I put TWHWW and some older and newer OPTCW side by side on my hood

It has gone through just a few maintenance washes with Gold Class foam and bucket wash and the TW is already done

It was a very frustrating wash

Although the humidity is about normal my OCW was so grabby I actually put it down and grabbed the TW WW but that was worse

I cut back and cut back on the amount I was using and it didn’t matter

I finally got the whole truck done but I used double the number of towels I normally do and it looks dull

Still don’t know what the issue was

Just one of those days I guess

The beading looks flat, but the gloss looks great.:xyxthumbs:

We just went down to the beach park for a walk and it’s not as dull looking as I thought

Even the glass was “grabby” today

It’s not letting me upload a picture after 3 tries

Keep getting an error message

Gave the Vette a quick wash after it's tuning session. Now to find time to enjoy the tune!

What a sexy beast!

Which tune did you get? I got an off the shelf tune for my car from Cobb. Didn't like it. Will, at some point, try a custom tune. Just need to find the time to set aside to do some recorded pulls and then Dyno with the custom tuner. The off the shelf tune seemed rough on the engine. Many said it would smooth out over time, but didn't want to do any damage to the car.

I got a custom dyno tune from a local tune shop here in Garner Nc. Went from 376hp to the wheels to 404hp. The new TCM has done wonders to the transmission too. The 8spd would constantly search the correct gear, but now it knows where it wants to go and goes.
