What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Had a bit of a play around with P&S Express on the interior of my Ranger, followed up with a layer of 303 Protectant.

I can see why people like this product. I liked the smell, liked the finish. :xyxthumbs:

Today I could not be bothered getting my pressure washer out, so I thought I would do an ONR wash instead. Those CarPro measuring cups are brilliant.

Finished off by doing the windows with Invisible Glass and a quick top-up of Duragloss 253 on the tires.

I rarely do rinse-less washing, but I can see the appeal and actually quite enjoyed it.

As Klasse Act recommended try Ech20 as a rinseless, its great.

If you ever order from Ammo NYC again give Frothe a chance. Nothing out there quite like it.

Also i like to use the P&S 1:1 distilled. Still deep cleans. If you haven’t tried an AutoFiber scrub ninja there awesome!

Didn’t like smell at first but now I dig it.

You may not need for your cars but they deep clean great.

This was a very dirty steering wheel that a detailing and Gyeon interior brush wouldn’t touch.

Used P&S express 1:1 and the scrub ninja.

I have the CarPro version of that scrubber, will give it a go on my next customer car.

Cleanest! Work ute going around i can't spot any lint or dust, that's how a car should be kept.

If you don’t mind me asking what do you do for them? Hipefully you got early stock options.

I'm a body-in-white tech for models S/X. I started working there 4 years ago before the stocks skyrocketed, but unfortunately I sold quite a bit to help make ends meet. Really kicking myself for doing that, but hey, you do what ya gotta do. Money comes and goes, family does not.

Boss decided it’s time to sell my favorite race car I’ve been involved with building/developing. Getting it spruced up for the next owner.

Full wipe down inside with ONR.

Underhood cleaned up with Griots Brilliant Finish Rinseless, speed master wheel brush, compressed air.

Bug carcasses/rubber streaks/removed sticker goo removed with “Skidmarks” cleaner (some D-limonene based cleaner his dad wanted to try). Paint hit with Blackfire One Step and a Griot’s orange pad.

It’s a black race car that previously had a wrap on it - 100% defect removal was not the goal.

The new owner stopped by before I hit it with One Step and commented on how shiny the car was; it was clear I’m really just cleaning it for my own peace of mind…

I need to look at those measuring cups! I dilute ONR as a detail spray and clay bar.

Well just left the shop at 3:20 this morning! I work nights and stay up all night on my nights off.

Anyway, I wish I could have captured pictures of all the scratches, swirl marks and water spots on the hood and top fenders.

I tackled it tonight and I'm really impressed with the Wolfgang Uber compound. This is the first time using it. I usually use the total swirl remover.

I still need to go over it with finishing glaze and deep gloss paint sealent.

Eventually I'll go over the whole car because it needs it!

I removed some bird poop. It was behind the spare on the rear door so I had to spray the QD through the spare to reach it, then reach over and around it to wipe it off. Also, I think I need to do some work on the black trim again. I think I'm over black plastic trim.

I entered myself in a competition of one for…

“Who has the shiniest white Kia?”

.

Yeah, it’s nap time.

I discovered why people like these

It is NOT a toy

Sorry the closeups suck, and the ghost images are the white flowers on my black board shirts reflecting in the second shot

I noticed three significant scratches on my baby today and totally freaked

I figured I would give this a go

I get conflicting info on the pad color hierarchy with SPTA

One source says yellow is medium and blue is finer and the other is vice versa

I can’t tell by feel or sight so I took a chance on blue figuring either would be safe with trusty old 3D Speed

I had it in random orbital mode just to make sure I was being the least aggressive

It always starts on speed 1 so I dabbed it out and hit the switch and spread my product

I cranked it up a notch at a time and by the time I hit 4 (out of 7) I knew I had enough oomph

I did a 2x2 section pass, wiped it, amazingly saw improvement, put on 1 more dot of product and another pass and bam!

I honestly knew down deep I would need to go to 3D One to get these out and color me surprised when I didn’t, and it’s not due to fillers because I used my new Feynlab Pure Rinseless mixed to panel wipe strength and it stripped it back to bare paint

I didn’t let the Poxy in the Speed set at all so it wiped it clean

This thing didn’t come close to stalling out and I had 3 higher speeds left

I have never even seen an Ibrid or Pixie or Adams in person so I have no reference for comparison and I know I need a lot more time with this machine to make any long term judgment but as I said, I am impressed

The weird thing, as other reviews have pointed out, is the switches are reversed for the majority of the people commenting on them

Very unintuitive but obviously will be a learned behavior

My PC and Rupes switches are totally different, you just adapt
