What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Merolex Pump Sprayer and IK Foam. Going to try both ways.

Foam Cannon vs Pump Sprayer | Bilt Hamber Auto Foam Application Method - YouTube

Might have just been user error or something else, but after i was using bh touchless in a regular pump sprayer thru the winter i noticed it had left these stains on the paint. Like i said maybe cuz it was in a regular sprayer or i did something wrong.

Either way just wanted to share that and for you to be causious when using the regular pump sprayer.

I have since only used touchless in my foam cannon.

Something to keep in mind with Bilt-Hamber Auto-foam and Touchless is this, it's made to be more runny than shaving creme and that's because it breaks down the muck and runs it off the car

I ordered BH Touchless. Looking forward to see how well it cleans. I'm going to use it in a sprayer and foam gun to see how they compare.

Just remember in a foam gun the ratio will be like 50%+ touchless and 50%- water in the reservoir.

Using 3-5oz to water will get you know where near the panel impact ratio of 4% your looking for.

Where you pressure washing or hosing off. Read some were having those issues not getting all off with hose. They say if your going to use a hose to rinse off Touchless is better than AutoFoam but still describe it

“TOUCH-LESS is our new eco-friendly pressure-washer, pre-clean, snow foam which can be applied by pump spray or trigger too. “

I have done both. But if i were using my garden hose then that ment it was warm enough to hand wash, so i would think that would have removed whatever remained.

Being able to supposedly use a garden hose with touchless was the selling point for me over autofoam. Thanks for the heads up though about the reports of not getting it all removed. I didnt know.

You have the cordless (Cbeast)? Wondering if I can do whole car with it and PXE.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No i dont, supa beast is the xce10-8 125 model(corded) replacement of the 3401.

Never used any cordless machines, although sometimes i would love to have a flex cordless rotary, sometimes a pxe would be handy.

Ive read it takes 30-45min to charge a 5amp battery. Same time for how long one would last till needing recharged. But that time would depend on how much asss you are putting behind the machine.

With that being said, i believe based on that info you should be a ble to do a whole car with the provided qty 2 5 amp batteries. In theory one would constanly need being charged. Also keep in mind the cooling time for a just used battery.

I have the week off! Debating on doing a paint correction on this 93 mustang....or pulling the transmission out of the 67. It has a bad leak.

The 93 pictures well, but the paint needs some work.

Do both since we're back into winter weather? :)

Since my g/f had to stay home from work today AND it was 32 degrees this morning AND it was fog snow AND the EN has it's summer perf tires on I was able to "Cruze" to work this morning, safely, in her car.

After work I ran it through the touch-free wash and headed over to pick up my daughter from daycare. The TW Seal and Shine is looking nice and her car will be a great test bed for it's durability

Same truck but now go straight to the 1200-2000 then Sonax ultimate cut. With LC micro and blue SDO CSS.
Not shooting for show quality on roof that’s fore sure! He is just going to have to deal. It’s for a friend so no $ here. Good experience for e with sanding though.

Took almost a Mil off. More than I would think it would take typically. Dave you know what it normally is?

More crash dummies. Nice 2020 Jeep door.
Found a nice honey hole near me. Local Body shop. Great confidence boosters.
Scored it with 1200 grit. 90% came out with just forced w/Ultimate and Microfiber.
Tomorrow I will hit it a tad with the rotor.

After 3 days of not driving the EN I ran it through the touch-free wash after work today, it was a mess

I polished a friends white SantaFe before our group went out for dinner. I used 3D Speed, CBeast, orange Lake County Force Hybrid combo. A quick 45 minute, me buff, he wipe attack.

He had ran it thru a touch free wash ahead of time. Interesting how the car had a blue tinted film from the car wash all over it….No surprise. A wipe down with a wet rag removed it. The car is 3 yrs old and never polished until now.

Sorry no picture. A change of clothes and we recessed with our wives and friends for an evening on a patio viewing a beautiful sunset in AZ.

That blue film was probably the "bubble gum stuff" as my 7 yr old daughter has called it for a couple years now, aka the wax application

John, how many passes and how much pressure did you apply? Did you get decent removal of minor swirls? I have used that same combo before with good results.
