What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Went ahead and gave the vehicle a treat to start the summer. This wax was really nice to use. Definitely pricey but I'm pretty sure I'll only live once. Easy on, easy off, great smell!

I was battling possible rain so will have to take it out tomorrow to inspect in the sun.

Once my g/f got home from work tonight I took her Cruze for a touch-free wash. Now it gets washed twice a week but while using the squeegee to clean the windows before the wash I could HEAR that damn sap, this is why the EN is washed so much! For a little over a dollar a day I've got a quick and easy wash

Once home I topped up the 3 week old CarPro Darkside with Pure:est tire dressing, now we'll see how this lasts

I went to polish my car today but 1/3 of the way through it my Groits G9 quit working :(

Frustrating but thankfully they back their warranty. I even posted about a bad foam gun from them in a review and they fixed it without issue. In fact, I made a dumb error in the return process and they still made it right pretty quickly.

Hopefully they get you sorted quickly to finish the other 2/3!

You check the motor brushes?

Reseating the brushes was my first thought too.

You could also try applying slight tension in different directions where the plug goes into the polisher - I had a super early run machine where they got a bad batch of cables. If I kept slight tension down on the cord I could keep the machine running to finish what I needed to get done. Griot’s sent me a new cord as soon as I talked to them.

Yes, I check both the brushes and plug/cord. I had read about the cords on the early ones (mines an early one too) so tried all different ways but no go :(

I'm sure Griots will make it right, I've talked to them in the past and they were very helpful, but it will be costly to me for shipping over the border and waiting.

Gave the wifes jeep a wash/decon today, and decided give it its topper for the year. Its wearing pure evo. Started topping with can coat evo, started with the roof, and side glass/top half of doors.

Did half the hood, and it started to look a little streaky or something, hood in general also looked a little meh, like stained or some shat. It was finally warming up so maybe temp change was making it finiky. Either way, i got pisssed. Grabbed the supa beast and tossed on a white force pad and some 3d 502 made 2 passed and the hood cleaned right up.

I said f the cancoat on black paint, went to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of mohs evo. Finished out the rest of the jeep with it.

Nice little behavour /durability test i rekon.

Also gave the truck a rinseless.

Did a RW on the gf's car and then put on some Griot's ceramic speed shine. Hopefully I get time for my car tomorrow evening.

Used my IK Pro Foamer filled with Frothe for a waterless wash. I sprayed it on a towel to clean the wheels. Used Nextzett Cockpit Premium for a quick touch-up on the interior, including the mats.

I decided it was time to clean up the engine bay of the Qashqai, I sprayed it with Bowden's Orange Agent, brushed all the nooks and crannies, then rinsed off. Dried it off with my Bigboi, which is excellent for engine bays, then coated all the black plastics liberally with Meg's Hyper Dressing and wiped the excess off.

I was just going to QD the overspray from the rinse off, but there was more than expected, and the wheels needed attention too, so I went with a full wash. Wheels were cleaned with Bowden's Wheely Clean then sealed with 303 Touchless Sealant. Then washed everything else with Reset, rinsed, and dried using TWHS Ceramic Wet Wax.

Polish angel was originally known for their night end Carnauba wax.

Wanna use wax on the chevelle but don’t like the effort anymore.

That’s why I went with a g15 over a Rupes. There 30 mins away and will swap out over the counter.

Pro foam 2 or 12. I keep wanting to get a 12 for Frothe.

So I did a pollen maintenance wash on the Cruze and the EN. This time around I used Veros Ceramic Wash in my Griot's Garage foam gun. Now it's a high suds formula so I went with 2 oz and it worked great, next time around I'll try 1 oz, that's what I use for DIY Detail Incredible Suds. This is a color changing formula and looked like anti-freeze when on the ground. I let it dwell for a couple minutes and rinsed away, made great beads on my g/f's Cruze, a given on the EN.

When I was done I decided to apply some Sonax Ultra Slick Detailer to the cars, well I intended to apply it to my g/f's Cruze but you know what, that DAMN pollen was already all over her car, so I just applied it to the EN. The problem with having so many spray waxes/detailers is you forget some sometimes! This stuff is truely S L I C K, the gloss & sickness will be under all that yellow sh!t and sap dots

Grinding my 400sq ft 2 car garage floor, in preparation for a 3 layer epoxy system.

By hand. With an angle grinder.
