What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I guess some of us here in the US take for granted or don't realize the penetration of American pop culture around the world. I have never even thought about that there might be DVD's of that show and that they would be available in other countries, particularly with the zoning or whatever they call it; I recently bought a DVD movie on Amazon by mistake that wouldn't play here--fortunately the seller had a sticker on the front saying it was a foreign coding and if you ordered it by mistake not to open it and return it. Obviously I wasn't the first customer to click on the wrong one.

I did "the usual" after work today, sunny and about 38, no problem as I drove about 6 miles and had very little to dry off

It's been 48 hrs since the last wash...what

Klasse, you have washed your car more times in the last couple of weeks than I have washed a car this year.

Shipment came in.

Three new products to try and one reload(OPC). Third gallon of that i've bought. Clearly a fan. I took advantage of a holiday sale these likely won't get tested for some months. Sadly.

Hyper Dressing?? That's like so...20 years ago. You'll like that Opti-Bond, though.
I didn't say the products were new, just new to me. I have been aware of it since day one but I like to use stuff before buying new and not just habitually buy things. Not a fan of clutter and starting to get back to that again, unfortunately.

From yesterday actually but tried the new P&S Inspiration Ceramic maintence wash at a lighter ratio, 3 oz to 1 gallon compared to the 6 oz/1 gallon when I first tried it on my g/f's Cruze. At that ratio it foamed better bit that's a relative term because it's got protection in it, so foam isn't it's strong suit

The direction say 6 oz to every gallon when hand washing and I don't know about you guys but for me that's about EIGHTEEN OUNCES of product for a 2BM. That's NOT what P&S is known for, I even called them to confirm this and they infact told me, yes, that's the ratio per gallon

I think I'll be using this for those "Sanity washes", when the EN isn't too dirty and wanna change things up/and or add a little protection. I guess I don't quite understand this product, can someone chime in on this, maybe I'm missing something

You can still dilute the RTU version depending on your tastes. It's 1:1 in the bottle.

IMO diluting it past the 1:1 in that bottle would be like diluting a carton of orange juice. Unless you’re 1 of those people who does that.

We have a string of high 50s and 60s into Christmas!

My reason for not pulling it outside for pictures - the sunlight is too good and I'll find too many imperfections that will bother me. The sunlight coming into the garage was already showing me a couple spots that have me plotting my next polish day.

Used:
BH Touchless
Kamikaze Shampoo
PA Zirkon to dry
PA Zirkon as final wipe

P&S Wheel and Iron Buster
Armour Detail Tire+

The Final Details Ceramic Detailer for wheels and door frames**

The Final Details Ceramic Waterless Wash did a little touch-up**

**this is a vet owned small business owner with a very nice line of affordable products and out of Illinois. I recommend checking out his products and can share details if needed. I'm going to keep trying the other products based on results so far.

Gyeon Preserve on some of the rear interior plastic. Recently did the rear seats with Gyeon Mild Leather Cleaner and Leather Coat. Figured I better finish the job now.

I've got a feeling that PA Zirkon is going to be extremely shiny in a day.

Mild day here in PA. Maintenace wash on the truck. Finished with TWHS wet wax and duragloss #253 on the tires.

Thats got a heckova glow going.

I thought it looked to be "up a level" as well... even relative to Cosmic Spritz Colour. Most of my driving tends to be at sunrise or sunset right now so will have to give it the eye test next week once outside of the garage.

Must be that special PA gold carnuaba flake

Still have a small bottle to play with. Got it cuz I remember Ronkh saying he loved it on his white Vette.

Try it out! I was going to put down Viking Spritz and accidentally unwrapped Zirkon. We're not due any crazy weather for awhile and Zirkon can be applied wet so it won this weekend.

What dilution did you use Hyper Dressing?

I guess it was 1:1. I bought it going on 20 years ago, back when Rick at ADS was pouring the gallons into the Meg's secondary bottles and selling quarts that way. I just had other dressings like 303, and I quickly stopped using those PDMS dressings on exterior trim because they don't last, stopped using them on interiors (mostly) because of the window fogging, etc. I think for a while I was spraying the Hyper Dressing in wheel wells, back when I did that kind of thing. I did use the Hyper Dressing straight on someone's tires a couple of years ago and it looked great, didn't get to see how it held up because it wasn't my vehicle.

IMO diluting it past the 1:1 in that bottle would be like diluting a carton of orange juice. Unless you’re 1 of those people who does that.

(raises hand) In my old age straight OJ got too sweet for me, so I dilute it with some fizzy water. Not in the carton, though. If orange juice still came in cartons (does it? I always buy the bottles)
