What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Received my Griot's Garage order today and put it away...then used their Leather cleaner and Leather spray conditioner on my winter casual boots and my older Sketcher casual shoes...came out GREAT!

My uncle recently passed away and I took over his lease until it ends tomorrow. He absolutely loved this car so I figured I'd turn it in nice and clean, in his honor. I did a quick one step and topped it off with Shinee Wax for some extra gloss.

Came out great! Hopefully the new owner enjoys it as much as he did!

You guys are killing me today with the garage and driveway pics. Hopefully I will someday get mine fixed up, before someone has to take over my lease.

No coating. Didn’t even winter prep it this year. It helped that the mud was still wet when I cleaned it.

Guess I am in the detailing mood. Truck stayed spotless from yesterday's wash. So quick coat of TWHS FLEX WAX today. Weather turns nasty tonight.
 
***Last wash of 2023***

So I headed to the touch-free wash because the EN looked horrible (to my standards anways) and used 3 oz of Nv Snow+ plus 1 oz of Griot's Garage Foaming Surface Wash (tried out their new spout I bought). While that was dwelling I tuned my attention to the tires & wheels. For the tires I used the Griot's Garage Tire/Wheel/Mat cleaner and for the rims I used Bilt-Hamber Surfex @3:1 in my IK Foamer

Once home I tried the Griot's Garage Black Shine on the tires, an aerosol and went on VERY glossy. While that cured I sprayed Griot's Garage Ceramic Speed Shine on the wheels to touch them up. Once done there I went back and swiped the tires to level them up, you decide if I achieved that

I finished up by using the Griot's Garage Ceramic Speed Shine on the entire car (lower panels were still dirty a little), also the engine bay and now I'm done

Soooo, I tried that Griot's Garage Black Shine aerosol on my tires...let's just it made a mess of the side of the EN I leveled it and tried a quick detailer on them after a drive AND cleaned off the side of the car...I should've known better

I'll be using it in the wheelwells going forward, so it's not being wasted

It is and I just don't how someone could use this, maybe it's for cars that aren't dtiven

I'm souring some on them...or at least ordering less. Their stuff can either really be great or be a real disappointment. Still a great brand but the newest items lately have been a miss.

Both the ceramic tire and ceramic glass were a big miss for me. Love my G8 and G9 though. The PFMs remain my favorite towel... The Boss polish line didn't do it for me though.

Didn't settle in (maybe over applied and needed leveled). Didn't like final look. Don't recall it lasting too well.

Come this summer I'll probably try it again to make sure it wasn't user error but don't want to be stuck with it for weeks during the winter if it wasn't.

Ceramic glass was just a mess. Seems like it wasn't really meant for glass. Too thick and streaky maybe?

I MacGyvered a solution for storing my foam cannon. It's so top heavy it kept falling over on the shelf, and usually took anything nearby with it.

Congrats on the foam cannon solution...I don't know what to say about the glass cleaner, I only really have 1, a gallon of the Meg's Detailer line one that I've been working on for...almost 20 years? I find the towel and technique make a lot more difference than the cleaner. I do have a bottle of Optimum Opti-Glass Clean & Protect that I use on the outside of windshields sometimes.
