I picked up some muddy foot prints last week, so I vacuumed the footwells and wiped the rubber mats down with ONR. While I had it inside I sprayed the black grill with Meg's Hyper Dressing, it was looking a bit faded. We had some light rain the other night so I wiped it over with NV Boost V2, just another layer on top of Lustre and Jet.

I used Boost V2, I got some with my last order. I still have about 1/3 bottle of the original left, but I'm not sure what I'll use it on, maybe the wheels. V2 is easier to use, especially on top of Lustre and Jet.

So besides easier to use, do you see other differences with v2

I've used it on the Qashqai a couple of times, but that thing is garaged most nights so it's hard to judge if it has offered better protection on it or not. This is the first time I've used it on the FJ, which is basically outside all the time, so should be a good test. Looks wise, I'm not sure if it's quite as glossy as Ech2o, maybe I'll have to do a half and half on a panel.

Just ordered Boost v2, the original was discounted by 50% but I resisted buying it as well

Well my buddy Hectour and I "detailed" the trunk of my EN this afternoon. Removed the matte vinyl wrapped OEM chrome 3D badge and replaced it with the flat, matte black badge from the 2024 Elantra/i30/Avante models...soooo much nicer

From what I can tell, NV are clearing stock of the older formula of Boost. The v1 and v2 formulations are quite different, and so is the overall purpose.

The concept of Boost v1 was that it was more a quick detailer that could add some protection, gloss and slickness to any surface or LSP. The point of difference with it was the ability to shed from the vehicle using their pH neutral soap, in turn taking contamination with it. I actually continue to use v1 as a topper on wheels for that reason. On paint, I was never wowed by it, it seems a touch grabby for my liking...................and I think that's why Boost v2 surfaced.

Boost v2 is apparently based on the same formula as Jet, in other words it's a more conventional ceramic/Si02 spray sealant. Where v1 would be stripped after each wash, v2 can last between 3 and 6 months. I have also found it easier to use, with a smoother and less streaky application, superior gloss and slickness. I think most people "get" v2 more than v1, I guess it's more in keeping with the competition than the quirky concept v1 offered.

So right after work I got home and did a quick foam/dwell/rinse/dry on the EN...left work @2:45 p.m. and was all done @3:35 p.m.

I used Griot's Garage foaming surface wash along with their foam gun. For the wheels I did a foaming of Brake Buster and let it dwell and rinsed down

It was very windy and warm today, almost 70 degrees and I wouldn't be surprised if I use Griot's Garage Ceramic Wash & Coat tomorrow...just because I can

I love v1. Sandro called the greatest QD ever made. Not sure about that but I did go to the website to see if I could grab 2-3 of the liter bottles but there out.

Picked up these metal speaker covers from Shark Racing for my EN last week and finally installed them today. I'm sorry I didn't take a " before & after" shot but these really lift the interior appearance quite bit since there's so much BLACK everywhere (thankfully I don't have a light headliner and A, B & C pillars though) These are actually metal and I couldn't be happier with this upgrade

Haven't had a lot of time lately either due to travel or due to weather but soon as the weather cooperates, I'm excited to do my next detailing with some of the new line from Yancy M.!

I somehow got these ordered while he was testing his website launch so one label is not even complete but I love the branding. Pictured is a waterless wash, prewash and SiO2 spray. More to report once used!

Horizon-MFG is the parent company I think - MNKYhead the brand if you go searching.

I think he got everything up and running end of last week but spent lots of time planning and preparing.
