What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I finished up on my brother's Bitsashiti Outlander, polished the roof, sides, and back door with Menzerna PF2500 on a Scholl Blue Spider pad, and wiped it all down with Eraser. Went through all the different coatings on the shelf, but decided to go with Collinite 845 in the end, I was constrained for time. I was going to apply by machine but this thing has some weird curves, so I did it by hand, used CG Monster Fluff MF Applicator, which worked brilliantly, I couldn't have done it faster by machine.

I cleaned the interior glass with Krystal Klear Bubble Gum Blitz, and the exterior glass with Carpro Clarify Phobic, which was very easy to apply this time, I can only assume it's because this glass had zero protection on it.

I put some Meg's Hyper Dressing on the tyres, then reapplied it 2 hours later when it completely disappeared, these tyres have also never had anything on them, probably.

I will also add, just an option, Detail Guardz has a great pad cleaner they sell as well. I got some bottles when I bought their Pad cleaner system. It works fantastic! Now I cannot compare it to Poorboys, or any other brands, as I have only used DG's.

That should pay for the shipping/import duties! Seriously, when I was looking at some of that BH stuff at Carzilla, I remember the shipping being quite reasonable. When I ordered my Idrosave from Labocosmetica USA, it actually came from Canada, and the shipping was quite reasonable and fast.

As opposed to my recollection about shipping stuff TO Canada, which at least some years ago, was very expensive and slow.

I’ve been ordering from Carzilla exclusively for the last 2 years and I always get the minimum for free shipping and I haven’t had to pay any duties or import nonsense fees

I once had a recommendation with a uber rich guy who has a ridiculous and large car collection [we’re talking Lambos & Bugatii’s]. I called and spoke to him and his 1st question to me was if I had my own source of water which I didn’t and unfortunately I feel that didn’t paint the kind of picture he was hoping for. [I did mention rinseless washing]

He also asked me about how much do I charge for a typical wash, and when I told him the price he replied that he only pays $___ when he has his cars washed at the local hand car wash nearby so we didn’t exactly click during our conversation.

I wanted to land that gig so bad that I had actually traveled to that car wash he had mentioned because my source had mentioned to me that’s where he has his cars washed at to check out their prices and have a look at the place. I even pretended to need my car detailed and spoke to the manager and asked for a quote… He had a good look at my car and I guess it was pretty damn clean already because his quote to detail my Cadillac Seville was only $120 dollars.lol.

He was like “you want this car detailed”? He was looking at the car inside and out with 1 of those looks you give when you’re thinking “hmm, well what the heck do we really need to clean inside this car when it’s already clean”

I’m just standing there knowing he’s probably in an awkward situation because I also kind of hate when someone brings me a clean car talking about they need a detail.

I know and you’re exactly right because he seemed like exactly 1 of those guys. Expensive cars but expects them done cheap and probably picky as hell.

Meanwhile I’m thinking let me dial each car in perfectly then maintenance will be a breeze but trust me it’ll be so worth it and your cars will be perfect at all times… But I doubt he would’ve had to patience to see that vision.

I still have his number. Maybe I’ll try and call him again someday and talk some sense into him. Lol
