when to use paintwork cleanser???

I just recently bought pretty much the entire souveran lineup.

My main question is when is the proper time to use the cleansing lotion? In the pinnacle video, it shows it being used after the advanced swirl remover and/or advanced finishing polish. However, wouldnt using the cleansing lotion after using the ASR or AFP remove all the product? Or are you suppose to use the cleansing lotion after these steps and then go on to apply the sealant and wax like the video portrays! Feed back please

The cleansing lotion is just a paint cleaner, it will remove any left over oils and dirt left from the ASR/ASP. SO yes use it after ASR and or ASP then straight to your wax/sealant of choice.

There won't be any dirt after compounding, or polishing as the dirt would have removed after washing and claying. As far as left over oil's, (abrassive lubricant) it will get picked up after buffing with a clean MF towel.

If your worried about residual oils on the surface prior to applying the LSP, you could always go over the car with isopropyl alchohol and a clean MF towel.

Paint cleaner would be good if the vehicle is in great shape, and does not need an abrasive polish. Basically, wash, clay, cleaner and wax.

This would vary from case to case. There are a lot of variables here. Just how contaminated the paint is, how long it's been since it has been THOROUGHLY cleaned, is it garaged, or kept outside, ect. ect.

Hypothetically, if you were to polish in several steps, (heavy cut polish to fine cut polish) by the time you get to the second stage of polishing, the dirt is gone. The second stage of polishing will pick up and remove anything that the first stage left behind.

If paint is already in good condition, (like I mentioned in my first post) you don't need to polish in two stages and a paint cleaner may be of benifit. If the finish is nearly flawless, you do not need to ploish at all. This is where the paint cleaner comes into play. It cleans the paint without ABRASSIVES!!!

How washing, claying and polishing in multiple stages does not remove dirt is bewildering

Like I say, each scenario is differen't. My S2000 in not a daily driver, and is garage kept. I have NEVER had a pad look like the one in the pic below.

Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion


This is a mild polish best suited for newer vehicles or vehicles with good paint condition. It is designed to safely take off old wax, embedded road grime and pollution that washing will not remove. It prepares the surface for waxing by creating a clean, smooth, highly-reflective surface. This insures a uniform shine and maximum wax bonding.

Micro-fine fillers (1.4 micron) in the lotion then fill in the swirl. When you wax over these fillers, most swirls will disappear.
