FLEX CORRECTIONS

If any of you are curious to what the FLEX can correct, here are a few pictures of a Corvette a worked on today. The lady asked if would clean her car and of course she opted out of a wax or detail. I’m so tired of all these cheap SOBs! Anyway back to the topic. I am very pleased w/ my FLEX purchase. I’ve only been using it a week now, and I already feel very comfortable w/ it. I’ve used it w/ a variety of pads and many different products. I mainly use Menz SIP and 106, but it works very well w/ all in one products too!

Process: Wash w/ soap via foam gun and white Schmitt
Dry w/ Guzzler
SIP x 2 w/ orange pad
106 w/ white pad
Collinite 845 w/ red pad

Man that tool has some strength. I think this will be the new go-to detailing tool.

Thanks for the pics and comments.

Thats what I'm talking about! Sometimes the consumer just doesn't understand the full meaning of "Detail". The price I think scares most away, but the side by sides really show the difference to the customer.

Good work there, Bradley!

Yeah it works great! I think it's the perfect stepping stool for the rotary. I've used my HF rotary a few times, and the feeling is very similar.

Good work there, Bradley!

I've only been full time for 6 months now, but I'm about to do some marketing and research to help pull in some more correction work. I'm just tired of people calling for a full detail which they think is wash, vacuum, clean dash, windows, and tire shine. By the time I explain to them what real detail is they too lost to want to pay me. LOL!

Nice work Bradley....I guess once she seen the real paint she was amazed....

I am sure you will do a great job on it when you do it...

The Flex is proving to be the tool of tools for a Random orbit....I will have mine come spring...I will be eyeing the sales to see when is a good time to grab one..its snow season now so I put every thing away now....just have dump trucks to do during the winter and some cars from a body shop my son works at....

I will give my son the PC and just do the rotary and flex for corrections and polishing....

Give it hell Bradley and make the Vette glow....as I know you will

Now thats a great way to sell some polishing work. I am curious have you ever used a UDM? I got the same results with my UDM on a black 07 Vette using Menzerna PowerGloss on an orange pad followed with 106ff on a white LC CCS pad. Does the FLex allow you to work faster like a rotary or is just more powerful that the PC or UDM?

Awesome job, Vettes paint is hard as nails, what I hear. I have the same question as conan..."Does the FLex allow you to work faster like a rotary or is just more powerful that the PC or UDM?"

I've never used a UDM, but the FLEX has to be at least 2 to 3 times faster than the PC. It feels more like a rotary to me than it does a PC.

Thanks for the quick response...What brand of pad do you use? LC, Edge or some other?

LC for now. Hopefully EDGE will get something for the FLEX.

I can achieve simular results with a PC. I am pretty happy with it.

I'm sure you can get similar results w/ a PC, but not near as fast. I do this for a living, so I can't afford to spend 10 hours on each car useless they're willing to pay for it and so far I haven't found that customer niche yet.

I can achieve what the PC can do by hand but I choose not to because there are machines that make it faster.

PC is faster than hand and the FLEX is faster than the PC/UDM. The rotary is even faster but takes a lot more time to learn.

When you detail for a living, time is money. If you're a weekend warrior or only polish your paint every 6 months, keep the PC.

:iagree:

I have been told that a rotary cuts labor time in half.

Me detail from yesterday was a prime example of your statement. I'm still learning it and it knocked out a panel in half the time as the PC.......easily.......and with better results.

It's like a drill vs. a screwdriver. Both will work but one is a WHOLE lot faster!
