Hello. My name is Scott and I think I'm a new addict. If not an addict, at least newly obsessed as all my youtube stream show detailing videos now.
I've been into cars my whole life, and loved to clean/care for them but never really wanted to do anything further than a simple wash and wax. I left the polishing etc to others.
Now, I read about it, watch videos, and have bought a handful of new toys to do it myself. I see other cars and think, "I'd love a crack at fixing that paint." There's a loaner car in my garage now that I'm having to resist trying to take some swirls out of its hood just for fun. lol
I'm considering asking my neighbors if they'd like me to detail their cars on the weekends. I could make a few dollars, but in reality my goal would be to break even on materials so I can feed my new obsession as well as improve my abilities.
It's a cathartic exercise sort of like, but better than, I feel when cleaning my guns. (Yes, I'm from Texas)
Anyway, current cars are white, but added a dark blue car which has added fuel to the detailing, paint correction, fire.
My wife's white car is easy to keep looking nice, but man oh man, does she get wheel rash which I can't fix. Fortunately I bought this "wheel package" that fixes them for 'free' as needed. It's paid for itself easily thus far.
Blue car below.
