Bead Maker question

I agree with what Klasse said. Buy it and try it.

Some people want to love that they found a grail that will blow out more expensive sealants and toppers and what wonder why anyone would spend more.

Others will condemn it as some cheap QD that has a bunch of slick and shiny polymers. Kinda reminded my of the hype with speedshine. Great product for what it is.

If you like it good for you and post a review. When it’s your car only opinion that truly matters is yours.

If you don’t like it I’d recommend giving Shine Supply Clutch a try. Awesome product 3-6 months protection and full of sio2 goodness

I'm interested in Bead Maker and have a few questions about it.

I know the protocol is to lay down a sealant first, and then wax....since sealants aren't supposed to go over wax. BUT....I believe Bead Maker is considered a (short term) "sealant"....in which case, shouldn't wax go over it rather than it going on top of wax? Which would then keep Bead Maker from being a true LSP "topper"?

LOL...I'm having a little fun here, but at the same time I am seriously interested in hearing how people view and use Bead Maker. What are some "waxes" or sealant/waxes that you have used BM as a topper for? And what other coatings can BM be used as a topper for? I'm guessing it's similar to a spray wax, only has more polymer (sealant) characteristics than carnauba (wax) ???

I like this question, it’s a good one for the P&S bros. considering their insistence on categorising it as a standalone sealant.

Hopefully THIS thread doesn't go south like others have had (clearing my throat)...My advice to you is this, buy the small bottle and try it for yourself. If there's a forum member whom you trust in, follow their advice on how to apply it and what to expect. That said, as you probably already know but if not, here's my take on the product. If your looking to "boost" your finish for a carshow or cars and coffee or just wanna add a little something during the drying process, look no further than Beadmaker! In "my" experience, the gloss left behind if very noticeable and the paint is very slick, you'll feel this right away while applying it, its undeniable. On the flip side, DO NOT expect this product to last a long time and I would not use it as a stand alone, period! This product has a life span of about a month on a DD in usual conditions. The mfg claims 1-3 months and that's fine to say because it could last 3 months, on a non-DD. In closing on my old car which was metallic black, this product worked OUTSTANDLY (made up a word there) and I was very intune with my paints finish, this is why I know the product works....for me.

Keep us posted when you get the product and your thoughts about it. If by chance you feel this product is going to work for you, the gallon makes more sense and cents, saves cents actually:dblthumb2:

^^ this.

I use BM on a regular basis as a topper / drying aid. I love the super slick streak free result even over top of coatings. It does not seem to impact the hydrophobic properties either. Works great inside door jams, etc. too. It's cheap, effective and easy to apply. Not an LSP in my opinion but as a topper it's replaced my previous ECH2O/Reload combo I used to use all the time. just more cost effective and works as good if not better.

If I wasn’t allergic to sending snail mail, especially large packages, I would send OP my 7/8 of a gallon.

Try it, if you do like it, you can actually get the gallon for close to $20.

I'll be passing thru Pittsburgh in late July...I'll stop and pick it up

Great, maybe bring by a product your not using in exchange To quote Hanibal...."I love it when a plan comes together!"

I use it as a QD and could care less about durability. I do agree that it does not last long 1-2 weeks but it's so cheap I have no problem using it weekly. I just did my truck with McKeeys Jeweling wax and finished with BM. The look and slickness is great and it only took a couple of hours to do my full size black truck.View attachment 66487

It's a shame I'm not planning to drive through Pittsburgh anytime soon...I've got several products I'd be willing to offer up in a barter of sorts (LOL)

I am just glad to see that the product is going to be getting used by someone who has never tried it before

And this is why everyone should try and see if THEY like it. I felt BM was slicker to feel but that didn’t affect water behavior and my version of “Merlin’s” blew beadmaker out the water in every other aspect. Easier to apply, glossier, same if not more durable.

Their are always going to be different variables. Water hardness, temperature, humidity, type of paint, mediums to apply. This is what makes one of the other better.

I also use Shine Supply Clutch instead of reload as it has higher silica content and no bad reviews anywhere. Might make a difference in gloss. By the gallon mixture cost me $22 dollars a gallon. I also like that I can use separately as a better standalone (Clutch) and as a rinseless/waterless (Ech20).

Order all three products and try. You’ll probably love them all.

I wonder if the water hardness has anything to do with it but then again, Beadmaker is pre-made though but the weather surely has a lot to do with it. I'm looking forward to more use when its warm out side. I work on my car down in the garage generally so I'm out of the sun, can't wait to use it some more....now about that warm weather, LOL!

I really don't even want to address the "hype ballon" poppers, I'm just going to use and enjoy this product because the results speak for themselves, atleast on my car but I'm not sure why my car is any different from others, its not even corrected and coated yet, LOL!

I'll find out soon enough, I just ordered a 16 oz bottle to give a try.
