Longest lasting slickness LSP?

I’m still a fan of DG 111 topped with either 951 or my favorite the 931 rinseless wash at QD strength. That will get you the slickness you are looking for.

If I had went the DG route, I am sure I would have the same glowing opinion.

Too many choices out there today, but I plan on trying the DG line one day.

Thank guys, lots of inputs!

Another info that I forgot to add earlier is that the weather here goes from lots of rainy days (even months without stopping raining) to very high heat temps unfortunately. The worst scenario for some sealants...

Love DG 931 as qd!
May I ask you what dilution do you use for 931 as qd?

Also, do you think it's a waste to get Aquawax as well as drying aid when you can just use 931 as qd?

DG 931 QD direction: add 3 oz of 931 to 16 oz of water.
AW is worth having, less then $10 and last 4-6 weeks. This is for Tampa conditions, intense sun, 95 degree, with nearly daily summer rains/downpours for 2 hours.

Sorry for the delay.
I don’t use the 3oz. I use only 2oz. Per 16oz. It’s my go to product.

Hi guys,
what is in your opinion the wax or sealant that keeps its slickness for the longest by its own (no quick detailer/spray wax to boost it after wash)?

I mean, there are lots of paint sealants/waxes that are extremely slick once applied but after few washes they start to lose it dramatically.

I just love how the slickness of the paint helps your wash mitt gliding during the wash stage and makes bird bombs and other contaminants way easier to remove.

Thank you!

Cheers :)

Mckees had paint sealant is a nice choice. The longer u leave it on the car before buffing the slicker it gets. Pa master sealant if you want to throw some acrylic in the mix.

Thank guys for the inputs!
Defenitely need to get something new (damn, more and more stuff :D)!

I'm tied between DG 931 as quick detailer and Finish Kare 425, just love them both.

As for some options that you guys kindly reported:

- Unfortunately Mckee's range is not avaiable here :( ;
- Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant is not so easy to get as well;
- I'd be able to get Menzerna Powerlock Ultimate, Duragloss 601 and 105/111 and Fk1000p.
- Also, someone recently suggested me to add to the list Sonus SFX-4 Paint Sealant: anyone had any experience with it by any chance?

Thank you again guys, very apprecited.

Cheers!

And would it make sense to try it combined with Duragloss 601 to eventually increase its bonding and durability?

I’ve never heard anyone using DG 601 with non-DG sealants. Not sure if it would bond the other sealants.

On the back of the 601 bottle it says it "forms a durable chemical bond with polyaminosilicone silicone polishes". So I guess the question then becomes, does the product you are looking to use in conjunction with 601 fit that criteria. Looking up the MSDS for Powerlock, I would say the answer is yes. But an enquiry to the manufacturer would probably still be the best thing to do to make 100% sure.

Yeah, indeed. I've emailed Menzerna with that question.
I'll report you here guys what they will reply, in case anyone is interested. :)

Also, a quick question for Duragloss users, please.
Eventually do you prefer 111 or 105 (of course mixed with 601)? Which one is glossier/slicker?
Also, for paint cleaning, do you guys prefer using the DG 652 Paint Cleaner (which I guess it could be used with other sealants since it leaves nothing behind?) or the 501 Marine product?

Cheers!

I did not like the DG 652 clouded up my Honda red paint. I use DG 501 wait a day then use DG 111

Got a reply from Menzerna about mixing DG 601 with Powerlock, but unfortunately it seems that they don't know.

"Dear Sir,
First of all, thanks for your feedback for the PL.
I am sorry, but we do not have experience with applying the PL and another sealing product.

Best regards
Office menzerna Team"

Oh well, it seems I need to try it myself and see how it goes.

Oh damn, thank you for the feedback. Mine is a soft black, so I guess I might ending up with the same situation.

Hoped that DG 652 worked flawless because I needed a new paint cleaner which leaves nothing behind, not even oils, to use before several sealants and DG 652 seemed to be perfect.
