What is the best way to dress and protect these things?

It’s a big part of the back of the truck so I want to be sure they stay beautiful lol.

Wolgang Exterior Trim Sealant (WETS), or McKee's Plastic Trim Restorer.

I have some of the WETS, but haven’t tried it yet. I assume the WETS seals it for a few months, but will it also keep the plastic looking dressed? Florida sun kills all this plastic!

Paul, you think maybe Dlux since it's new

You may be right since he lives in Florida.

I have not tried Dlux because the two I mentioned work so well for me.

And yes, both will keep the plastic looking quite "dressed", Automoglow. :)

I used the WETS on my Kia door trim and love it, but it keeps it matte finish like it’s just brand new and I love it. Just not in hard plastic.

I try and maintenance wash my truck weekly to keep it clean so wasn’t sure if I should apply the WETS every other to keep it looking good.

Or Solution Finish? Lol

This is gonna be like a "Best Polish" thread. Lol

I actually use WETS and that's all I need.

It lasts and I reapply when needed which isn't very often.
I actually have more on a UPS truck.
I just haven't had a reason to think outside the box on this one.

My truck I would use WETS

Trust me, go with DLux. I have it on my 2017 Rebel and all the plastic looks like day 1 and still beads. I also use DLux on customers vehicles and they love it!

And let the debates begin! Lol

This is the best part of the forum, and how we all learn (yearn) about different and new products. :)

What happens after a year, or whenever you have to reapply?

Do you just go over it or what kind of prep is necessary on a box like that?

Nothing wrong with different opinions.. If it works for you, then great. I like this forum because even tho we may have different opinions, others respect that and there is no macho crap. More than one way to make a shiny car;)

I would go over it with Mother’s heavy duty trim cleaner then reapply, personally!

I seen this product, but thought it was a cleaner and restorer in one. So you you can use this to clean and then apply WETS?

I’m going to clean the Rambox with McKee’s wax remover for plastic and the apply the WETS.

Is the mother’s trim cleaner better than McKee’s since I’m just trying to clean?

I used the McKee's Wax Remover before applying McKee's Trim Restorer and it worked out great. Many around here think WETS and McKee's Trim Restorer are essentially the same thing, so your combo should work fine.

Can't comment since I haven't used it but why buy something else when you already have a good wax remover/plastic cleaner ?

I tries the McKees plastic trim cleaner and to me it didn’t seem like it cleaned it well. Maybe I should have used a more aggressive method than just a microfiber towel.

Get a stiff bristle brush. A toothbrush for tight areas.

The product needs to be worked into the textured surface. A MF towel is missing all of the low spots. (Which is where you need it to work).
