Offline for 2019 SEMA - Hold the Cyber-Fort down

Heading out for Las Vegas at O'Dark thirty tomorrow. I'm helping to set-up the SONAX booth as I will be doing demos and answering questions primarily in the SONAX booth from Tuesday through Friday.

Will also be working in the FLEX booth and the LC Power Tools booth.

I'm not taking a laptop so any and all forum work and communications will be done via my phone.

I upgraded to the pro version of TapaTalk so there's no limit to how many pictures I can share on this forum each month. (I used up the quota for the free version while sharing pictures last month). The pro version by the way is only $14.99 and it's a lifetime package that includes unlimited photo uploading to forums.

I'll keep an eye on this sub-forum group and do my best to answer any questions directed specifically at me but if you're reading this and I miss something you post, keep in mind it's not that I'm ignoring you, just traveling and working at SEMA.

Thank you to all our regular forum members for welcoming new people and helping where you can.

Any chance AG would pay you a dollar extra a mile this year, Mike?

You could afford a second home in the Bahamas. Lol

I don’t normally do restaurant reviews but I’m real tempted to start my own Social Media platforms for such a thing as I travel a lot.

It’s nice to “pay it forward” as far as finding a consistently good place to eat.

For example I tried 3 different Mexican restaurants in Colorado but I would only only recommend 2 of them and the one I wouldn’t recommend is the one everyone recommends.

Go figure... :dunno:

So I’m staying at the Hard Rock and there’s a Mexican restaurant inside called the Pink Taco.

My initial thoughts based on just the name...

How good can it be?

Well Mike Phillips says,

It’s good!

I keep it simple wherever I travel- Chicken Burrito. No authentic Chef knowledgeable in Mexican cuisine can screw-up a chicken burrito.

And when I’m traveling and teaching classes, shooting TV or in this example- working in a SEMA booth - I cant get dick or get food poisoning.

Myself and 2 other people that ate with me at the same Mexican restaurant in Colorado - we all got food poisoning.

So yeah - I keep it simple - I have a lot of responsibilities when I travel.

I give Pink Tacos 5 freaking stars!

The burrito was great! And just as good is their Ghost Pepper based Diablo Hot Sauce.

So if your going to Las Vegas and looking for great Mexican cuisine - Mike Phillips says you can trust the Pink Taco!

Do we have to address you as "Professor" now, Mike?? ;)

If someone wants to do some “Cyber-digging” there’s actually a thread on this forum where a forum member “seriously” suggested I be given the title of “Professor” and backed it up with documentation to justify the title and the credentials.

I will send the person that can find this thread my personal “Supa Beast” given to me by FLEX.

Go!

I seriously prize the tools given to me by manufacturers - but I appreciate what this person wrote “publicly” and have never forgotten what they publicly stated on this forum.

It’s credentials that you cannot get “easily” simply by starting a YouTube channel with zero history in this industry.

And “yes” I’ll accept those credentials and the title.
